I believe many quickly bought a plot and then saw something they liked better and relocated, not realizing this would happen. I think SE could have at least disabled the timer situation, so if someone relocated it immediately became available again - at least in the new wards.

I'm now sitting in my new front yard and can't even enjoy it as I watch 20 people around the a placquard at the home next to me clicking.

First off, thanks for trying to improve house Square but you guys have a long way to go. Doubt you guys will even read this but here it goes:

The housing UI and system is still very bad. My FC got a large house this morning (hooray) until the same officer went to buy his own personal small house and transferred the FC house by mistake. There was no prompt asking if he wanted to do this. And because it was an FC house there was no timer. We were allowed to transfer twice in one day. This should not be allowed. Great news for anyone that still wanted a large, but a very bad day for us.

You say you want to make the game fun for people. How is a major mistake being caused by a mis-click fun? I asked if the GM’s could at least restore our gil because it took us two years of saving up and I was met with a generic “we cannot offer this service”. We now have a small house (we had a medium before) and are out 42 million gil.

The morale of all of our players is quite low and most of us are probably going to take a break after this. At the end of the day, yes it was our fault, but it could have been prevented with a single UI change or a Time limitation for FC plot transfers.

I hope you take this into consideration for future players and I hope our FC’s tale is one of caution to others out there looking to make their FC better. Good day and enjoy the patch everyone.

I made it time to purchase my housing and yet I could not relocate my fc, because my storage was full. I was so upset with how this housing is set up.
If I knew better I would have done so and got the housing I was aiming for, but sadly the housing is creating a very toxic environment and I can see why.
They need to make housing a instance like in Star wars the old republic (SWTOR).
I HATE COMPETING WITH OTHER PLAYERS AND SHOULD NOT WASTE OTHER PEOPLES TIME.
I have lost sleep and my time and honestly it discourage me in playing this game.
Such a disappointment, but congratulations for those who got what they wanted.

Ofc they can fix it. As long as you are ready to not having a housing system for upwards of 6 months, losing your current house and furniture, and maybe even losing access to the game for that whole period.

Not sure how you redo housing without the people who already having them losing them. I would think a housing overhaul would need to reconfigure the wards, which I am not sure how you keep the current occupied plots intact while doing so.

You don't. They won't. This shitty system is how it is and it is how it shall stay. Our getaway game, the place we come to escape the crushing, defeat of real life has a housing system that is just as crushing and defeating as many real housing markets. That's just the way it is. We either decide fuck that and take our sub elsewhere, or find other parts of the game to enjoy.
