800+ on excal one of my friends got in at 2 minutes after server and all medium and larges in Lavender beds where gone. Woke up early, prepped the night before and by the time you finally log in everything is gone. Square dropped the ball again

Sounds like a SE issue, Mateus que was 677 nearly every house was gone inside 15 mins. Don't be an apologist for shitty broken system. Yoshi P and Square Enix should be ashamed of themselves, other games that are older than FFXIV have managed to put a housing system in place that works.

Not really. I logged in at exactly 6am and was immediately hit with a lobby error. Relaunched and by that point was 700 in queue for Cactuar. By the time I finally made it in, nearly everything was gone. Fortunately, I already have a medium and only wanted to try my luck at relocating to the Mist. Nonetheless, there is no denying the housing system in this game is absolutely horrendous.

I clicked "Play" in the launcher at exactly 6AM. Got to main menu, "Start Game." Got a "lobby connection error" and the game exited, then the launcher was stuck on "Checking Final Fantasy XIV" for a solid 2 minutes. Finally get in and Siren's queue is 891

Just goes to show you can do everything right and still get screwed.

ETA: Got in at 15 past the hour and I did manage to get a small but I saw so many people scrambling to get plots.
