    ignoring the amount of fraudulent FCs made seconds after buying a 2nd, 3rd home which is so apparent you can search through the plots and see hundreds of plots owned by barley alive FC or FCs that only have 0/1 members and funny enough are neighbors with the same person which is more common than I thought.

    I wouldve gone with Fcs at a certain age and i do agree the housing purchase method is still bad, but FC having this privilege is worse

    You can get upset all you like, but Housing has been that way since it's inception.

    People took advantage of the system, forcing SE to change it. The late-comers are punished for the actions of the veteran players and sadly, that is unlikely to ever change and nor should it, in all honesty. You coming late doesn't work in your favour, but to that same end, you have a better chance than people who join after you. At least until it all evens out a few months later.

    We know what it's been like recently. It's the same situation we had prior to the data center reorganization and during all of 5.0. This might be your first rodeo but most of us have been through it before.

    It may not seem like 720 new plots is a large number compared to demand but on a relatively low population world (at least for NA) like Zalera, that's quite a bit. They're not all going to disappear the moment the servers come online, and you'll find many plots becoming available in the existing wards as current owners relocate to a preferred plot in the new wards.

    Your FC has an advantage as you can use your members to spread out into multiple wards to get a good house while the individual player has to do all the running around on their own. Make use of that advantage. If you're paranoid, go straight to the cheapest house in Goblet and buy it. Then you can relocate to any available preferred plot, including the existing wards that will have a lot of vacancies as current owners relocate but can't get snatched up by new buyers because the purchase timers will be in effect there.

    Here's a link to maps of each housing district with plots color coded by grade. Grade 5 is always the cheapest. You can check the Housing guide on Lodestone to get the exact prices.

    At least you're trying to be helpful. I fo appreciate that. To be fair tho, "it is how it is and that's how it's always been." Is not how problems get solved. Also I'm still confused how a low pop server like mine has such a tight market. Personally the non instanced homes is a terrible idea and should be done away with.

    Auto demolish isnt enabled still for some reason so everyone that ever bought a house since February and haven't logged on since then negates Auto demolish where your plot is up for sale if Ur offline for 30 days. I find it stupid do they really expect this to persist? this isnt a natural disaster. pandemics last for years even decades its ridiculous to halt the housing economy until then ? FF16 will be announced before auto demolish kicks in.

    I'm surprised there is no window for FC's. I would have expected one although I think a day or two should be max relative to that exclusivity. The 5.1 additions were close to 3 months of exclusivity and that was seriously abused in my view and as such I suspect SE has recognized that and has decided that private owners deserve a shot at purchasing without having to sit and be locked out.

    Just be careful when you're get to the date that you update your client as soon as possible and be in the log in screen to check availability. Servers will not come up early but they will come up exactly on time so be prepared to act quickly. One thing for sure is it will be a mad rush for the prime locations so being in a short queue to get into world is really important. The mediums and large homes will clearly be sold out in the first 5 minutes.

    Also practicing your routes with aethers clearly marked on a notepad for which ones you need to use to get to the houses of your choice. Others have made pretty good suggestions about going busy and more so be prepared.

    Getting a small will be easy for you I suspect but competing for a medium or large will require some preplanning and practice before the servers go live. Muscle memory is a must if you are going to win one.

    Most of us are going to agree with you that there's a lot of room for improvement in housing.

    But for now, we're stuck with the system as is. We have to learn to make the best use of what's available at the same time we continue to ask SE to make changes for the better.

    As for the tight market, the problem is the game doesn't give us enough things to spend gil on. Housing is the only major purchase. Just about everything else is passing gil around from player to player via the marketboard.

    People like to spend the extra money they have. If you're sitting on 50 million gil and have nothing else to spend it on, might as well buy a house even if you don't really care about having one. It wouldn't be a problem if the game could guarantee a house to every player. Because it's a limited resource, it ends up a problem.
