Please remember to kick and report bots in dungeons

Title. Had an instant last night where I jumped into expert roulette. Ran into a healer who it was their very first time being there, and a samurai/bard who were obvious bots.

They wouldn't do anything until we were 2 minutes into Anamnesis Aynder, in which they only started doing anything when I used <t> to say their names in the chat with the <se.1> sound effect, in which they both started attacking at the same time. After the waves of enemies vanished and we could run to the boss, both put me on auto follow, and followed me to the boss room, and then all the way back to the start of the dungeon.

I explained what was going on to the newer person, and we both vote kicked them while I filled out a report of both the bard/samurai(Actually took like 6 min for any DPS to re-join because of the time of night) and managed to down the first boss before the new DPS could join us (Who thankfully weren't bots).

I know I've seen posts of people who openly claim they just run the dungeon with bots, but is it honestly worth giving them what they want? I know people value their own time above anything else when playing games with their limited free time, but that's almost as bad as the people who use the bots when you allow them to help you, in my honest opinion.

Wow. If this is true... Wow. And on EU too, where botting has been limited mostly to RMT and Ishguard restoration, we dont seem to have the problem that NA has where bots are running treasure maps. This is nuts...you'd think SE would take notice of these things....

I've seen it a few times in ShB dungeons, mostly the tank being a bot and I feel they just take the coding for Trust characters and apply those to their own so they know where to go, how to pull, get chests etc. Although have seen some bots in Stormblood duties too, so guess you can get them anywhere but luckily it's not too common.

Personally, not when you get in a rando party with someone who is brand new. I'm always willing to do what I can for someone new to something, and if it means 2 manning a dungeon as Tank/Healer while we wait for DPS I'm all for it.

I've seen people get questioned by GMs before for 'why did you keep the bots in your party if you believed they were bots' or something along those lines.

I don't think that would be Trust coding (though I suppose they might use it as a base if they can get hold of it). The tank character follows the player until you engage an enemy, at which point they step forward to tank it, and they don't collect treasure chests.
