dragon form bond with they mortal companion the warrior of light death might put him a state moarning. after defeat of omega i think see the WoL like as one his child because it how Mid see his own children as it nature view for him. it also give him a reason to protect the wol against omega and called his son to aid the WoL

I been hoping that dragoon could drawn more his power since the WoL and him are linked

Those who acquire the power within the eyes of the Brood seemingly continue to have a continued resonance with their bearer along with retaining some residual power even after no longer being in possession of them. Estinien is the prime example of this. Considering that Hraesvelgr lends us his eye, and use his power to finally defeat Nidhogg once and for all, you can say he and the WoL are forever bound to each other much like Estinien and Nidhogg. This would undoubtedly drive Midgarsormr to see them as a son/daughter, and protect them all the same.

Omega's mere presence had Middy react faster than lightning, which is uncharacteristic of him. He knew the WoL was immediately in danger, and would not have reacted as quickly under any other circumstance. He chooses extremely carefully in what to involve himself in, which includes anything that threatens his remaining children directly as too many of them have already been lost.
