Mogstation card payment stuck in redirecting loop or giving Error code: 601

Details: I am trying to renew my PC subscription on the Mogstation. After entering my credit card details, the webpage gets stuck in a redirecting loop. I have tried with a different credit card and with ad blockers disabled in Google Chrome but it keeps going through the same thing. When I switched over to Microsoft Edge, I got past the redirecting but the moogle returned an error: "An error has occurred. Please confirm the status of any relevant options and then try again. For details, please contact the Square Enix Support Centre. (Error code: 601)". The £1 test transaction is now showing up on my credit card account despite not getting as far as adding my subscription.

I renew my subscription this way every month to manage my spending but this is the first time I'm having this issue

Yh i have the same exact problem i tried purchasing the ghost costume and it got stuck on redirecting

Hey, I was having the same issue too when both trying to add a subscription and register my card, but switching to IE got it working. So could be an issue with Chromium browser like Chrome and Edge, so might be worth trying IE or Firefox if you're still having trouble

I've had this same problem recently - it seems to be caused by a credit card security function banks have implemented recently called "Secure 3D" on credit cards, where merchants like the Mogstation can use it to check to see if the transaction is valid - what is meant to happen is it's meant to connect to your bank's website that will ask you to input a one time code that will be sent to your phone or email address that is then put in on the frame that appears there. Once it's done it verifies and the transaction is allowed. I've been having nothing but trouble trying to get it to work on the latest version of Firefox, but using my mother's computer with Chrome it worked fine.

Unfortunately there is no way to opt out of this function if your bank/card vendor has activated it, and as stated tends to glitch a lot of the time. All you can do is try an alternative browser and see if that helps.
