Arrows. Can we have status effect ones please?

I know that there is some antipathy towards introducing many of the things we had in xi but I strongly feel that these are something that would make arch/bard a lot more fun.

    Poison Arrow- additional effect poison
Sleep Arrow - additional effect sleep
Ice/fire/wind etc arrow - arrows with added elemental dmg.

Some that were bolts in xi but could equally be arrows.

Bloody bolt - additional effect hp drain
    Acid bolt - weakens defense
    Holy bolt- additional light dmg
    Darkling bolt- additional dark dmg

Wouldn't these and/or similar be fun?

i was actually just thinking of this the other day. i miss the utility it added to the ranger job in XI, and considering bard isn't really super DPS i figure it can't hurt to give them even more utility to make up for it.

the only problem i see with it is the lag associated with the current client. you hit your arrow swap macro in a pinch, and the server doesn't register it. can easily lead to some messy situations. however, they should definitely look into adding this in 2.0 when we no longer have to worry about the server/client lag.

These would be great, but they may make Bard too powerful? Lots of support (CNJ), magical attacks (THM), and damage (ARC), now with enfeelbs as well?

It might be a good idea if they introduce a new job 'Ranger' based off of Archer, that allowed you to use Bolts that had those effects (and you would not have /CNJ or /THM to be a support role).

And elemental arrows like fire arrow, wind arrow, silver arrow (element holy) and crystal arrows (element water)

I liked them in Ragnarok online

I'm wondering why someone would use these arrows, rather than simply using a poison on the mob (Poisons are targetable, and inflict the enemy with that status)

Thing is it adds utility, for example:
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Sleep_Arrow
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Demon_Arrow
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Paralysis_Arrow
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Acid_Bolt
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Bolt

These constantly applied the status effect on the mob, for example the RNG would shoot an acid bolt and it would weaken defense, they keep shooting it (though its a waste to) it'll always "weaken defense" basically restarting the def down timer, whereas using a potion isn't as efficient as doing damage + status effect.
