    Can't proceed past main menu

    Hello. Starting today after launching FFXIV through Steam, I'm able to log in to the launcher and select the play option. The game launches and takes me to the main Shadowbringers screen. From there I am unable to see my cursor and cannot select any options. The keyboard seems to be unresponsive except for being able to escape out of the cinematic once it starts and I'm able to alt-tab out of the game. The only way I'm able to exit the came is to end the task from task manager. I noticed that the pointing finger is present and I don't normally see that. I do not have any controllers plugged in other than keyboard and mouse. I've tried disabling Steam, Discord, and Radeon overlays, I've tried selecting the option to reset to default settings from the launcher, have tried directx 9 and 11, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and rebooted multiple times but still experience the same problem. I've also tried connecting a controller, disconnecting and reconnecting keyboard and mouse. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Everything is up to date. Windows 10, i7-3770, AMD 5600 XT.

    Playing around with it some more I managed to figure this out. The mouse was being recognized in the menu, but the cursor was not visible. I was able to edit the ffxiv.cfg to change the game to windowed mode. From there I noticed that when the invisible cursor hit a selectable item it flashed briefly. With that I was able to get into the configuration and noticed that enable gamepad had somehow been enabled and was set to vjoy virtual joystick. Once I was able to mess around and get the checkbox unchecked everything is working as expected.

    Are you able to provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
