    Tank Stance forcibly disabled every time I enter any dungeon

    It's about level synching - it always removes things like stances and buffs. The same thing happens in the field if you join a FATE that requires you to synch.

    Conversely if you're entering a dungeon where you are within the actual level range and don't need to synch down, your stance remains activated.

    And yet, it's still such obviously unintended behaviour that I can't help but assume that it's an oversight on the part of the developers.
    Besides, I think it's uncontroversial to say that SE's developers want to make the best game they can make. Part of that is adding quality of life changes like being vaguely intelligent about how they remove buffs; It would add microseconds, not even milliseconds, to each dungeon load-in to add a simple check to see whether the character level that is being synced to has access to whatever stance effect they have applied, especially given that the only jobs that have multiple persistent stance effects are Astrologian and Monk.
