This was my rule. If the dungeon queue was 10-15 min or longer, I went trusts. Doesn't really affect me because I usually tank or heal but I did have to level up my dps jobs somehow.I made the experience that dungeons with Trusts are faster as a DPS if you count the queue time. They take about 26-32 minutes (I always use food at the start and by the last boss the food buff is either almost over or it has like up to 5 minutes left. With real people it's like 20-25 minutes on average, after the wait time of 15-30 minutes. With Trusts you know what you get, with real players you might get a single pull tank, a zero DPS healer fishing for Freecure procs, or DPS that do the same damage as the Trusts. And most times you really get those kind of players in leveling roulette.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
I tried squadron about 2 years ago when I got em to max lvl, think it was 60 for squadron in mid 2018, they sucked and were worse then a group of bad players so I haven't touched em since.
Trust are alot better but I wish they'd aoe, I wish if u died they'd raise u instead of the fight being over and I wish we didn't have to lvl them up to get them into lvl 77 etc dungeons.
Trust have some work to be done before I'll use them regularly like I do que'n up for a duty or making a of, hopefully they'll get there in 6.0
I prefer Squadron over Trust because they just melt everything so fast. I can clear a dungeon in 10 to 15 minutes with my squadron. I would really hope they give us more squad members of the newer races and jobs and expand it from 8 to 12 members at least. Also of course let us play up to level 70 dungeons. I really like trying out new jobs with Squadron. My only gripe is that all mechanics always focus on you and that can get you killed faster if you’re a healer or DPS like the dungeon where the T Rex throws those blob mobs at you and only you. The healer can’t keep up with the damage. It should also focus on the squads, too. Especially if you’re a healer and have to learn to heal them quickly.
I love trusts they're a great addition to the game. I'd love to see them expanded to other dungeons and not just msq ones.
For trusts, if you use the paladin tank you can multipull and aoe things down.even playing normally my slowest run was 30m playing as a dancer.
Fastest with a group is 15 but that was on malikah well where everything can be multipulled.
It really is better for a dps to just trust dungeon it once duties are used up, if not just use trusts period.
Squadron are badly scaled in lv50 hard modes, but for plain leveling dungeons lv20-60 they're probably the fastest leveling in the game with full Offensive 5. They blow real players out of the water. 11 min Stone Vigils, 12 min Aurum Vale and Sohm Ahl, zero queues, no risk of troll groups. You can take breaks, kill every mob for exp, spawn the seedlings in AV and you get all the loot to turn into seals. They're well worth the poor AI.
SE definitely need to change that. I always had a issue with Trust not doing AOEs, which make the dungeons longer. Now the squadrons may not have the AI like the Trust do, but they can mow down a mob in no time.
Yeah I agree. I have done dungeons with squadron & completed in 15 mins. Squadrons now how to mow down a mob because they use AOEs unlike Trust.Don't know about that. With squadrons at level 4 and 5 orders, its possible to clear a dungeon in about 15 minutes. Each level of Def, Off, or Independent orders increases the dmg, def, or a blend of both by a fixed percentage so teh damage scales up if you go Offense or independent on the deeps. Get a Paladin squadron mate and they will hold onto every mob there and the squad healer will do there thing. Only hang up dungeon is WP hard. Even going as a dps, you can clear roughly about 15-20 minutes. These guys are good through to level up alts on honestly. Just gotta put the initial time sync in on command missions. BIg thing to remember with the squadron, their skill set is completed based off, i want to say the 2.5 skill set.
Trusts you are pretty much spot on wiht the time to run a dungeon with them. Even though they sometimes dodge aoes and can do limit breaks without being, the dps imo scales very little and I agree with you on its faster run the dungeon with real people.
