I would like* to see more mystic/fantasy like zone designs. No more empty deserts, empty plains, empty labyrinth forests, no more caves !

I want to see more mystical ruins/buildings !





I want to see more mystical zones in the sky !




I want to see more otherworldly zones !






Zone design elements that i would like to see:
  • Multi level zones. Tower like. If possible make it where you can see large chunks of the map. Otherwise it doesnt feel like a tower like place**.
  • Keeps higher lvl zones explorable but zone it through some access granting quests/missions. I think it help drive people to see something in front of them they cannot grasp yet.
  • Machinery, elevators, energy, levers, laZers!(pewpew), etc. I loved the whole concept of the crystal line in XI.
  • Inner zone fast travel mechanisms (teleport pads, boats, etc. I mean not limited to cities only.

Which was your favorite XI zone ?

* This is entirely my opinions and wishes. I dont want an exact replica of XI, but only the core design concepts that were so awesome in XI à la XIV. Sky/Sea in 1080p anyone ??
** For those of you who played Portal 2, were you not flabergasted by the immensity of the aperture complex when reaching the old test spheres in the mines ? I want to get that same feeling in XIV.
