The forum won't let you post less than 10 characters, so it's used to extend a post to be longer than that minimum.

The forum also won't let you post more than 1000 characters up-front, but you can edit it in after you post. So what some people do if their post is over 1000 and gets blocked, myself included, is copy their post and replace it with something like "incoming /10char" to get the post posted as a placeholder for the incoming edit, and then go back and edit in the actual post.

I wasn't really ever focused on leveling anything.

I started the game post Stormblood, and took a long time catching up compared to others. Why? Because barring stuff like BcoB, I didn't want to "skip stuff and come back and do it later". I did dungeons, raids, beast tribes, etc., as I got them, because there is no better context to experience them in than when it was intended. Just playing the game, doing the MSQ, doing my daily roulettes got two jobs to 70 before I finished ARR.

I also never do stuff unless I enjoy it, so I would not do something like MSQ roulette if it makes me hate myself. With regards to crafters and gatherers, I never did something as insane as leaving them to later and grinding them all in a sitting. It's more efficient to do your GC dailies every day as soon as they are unlocked, crafting until they start asking for stuff from expansions you are not at yet.

And, of course, I have nearly 1100 rounds of Frontline. Frontline is probably the biggest source of my XP. When I found out you could queue up as one job, switch to another, and still get XP as the job you queued as, I figured "Hey, may as well get my Amaro". Frontline is the only reason why I got jobs like BLM to 80, since I do not find it fun to play at all. I do, however, enjoy FL, so I can queue as BLM, switch to a job I like more, and get that job going.

This is the first expansion I maxed everything. That just comes down to healers sucking this expansion. While they did make ast, my main, better its not as fun as it used to be. I always max leveled at one tank and one healer and two dps since ARR. Which i gotta say the 1-50 levels are super fast so I dunno how you burn out? Especially now since dps queue are much better then release. I leveled monk from 15 to 65 in 4 days. I hate monk and haven't touched it since it 80.

You avoid burnout by doing it slowly over time instead of all at once. There's a huge difference between the people who level everything in the first month of the expansion and the people who do it over the course or a year or two, one roulette at a time.

Did it with friends, didn't go too hard at it, just dailies.

    Watched videos while leveling.

    Chatted over discord.

I have a lot of hours in the game. I take smaller breaks to play other games at times. Like a couple days here and there. Never unsubbed tho.

To avoid the burnout of capping consecutively jobs, you need to know when to stop and take a break and more importantly, don't force yourself to do content that you hate just to level a job. That's basically the fastest way to fill yourself with repulsion and to unsubbing. Thankfully, the leveling avenues in the game are many so you have your choice of which is most fun to you to level.

Regarding jobs you dislike, my first advice is not to play them. If you're doing it out of necessity, like managing inventory space, I'd heavily recommend third-party entertainment: leveling with friends, Netflix, etc.

All in all, the magic of back-to-back leveling and capping is good pacing and once again, knowing when to stop.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

I just don't push myself too much, enjoying every aspects of the game help a lot, I think. When I queue for dungeon as dps, I just do another thing, gathering, crafting, quests, decorating, browsing internet, reading language flashcard etc..

I also pace myself at 1 lv per day or so.

Honestly, the only things I see to do are either raiding or leveling, and I've exhausted all the things I can level, and I don't want to waste what precious little time I have to learn ES8, so I ended leveling my alt. There's nothing much else to really do right now. No Deep Dungeon, no relic grind.

Soon I will be doing monk, archer (Worst class in the game, I hate it so so much.) rogue, and lancer. It takes fifty years to get in a dungeon, and path is not much better.

Besides dancer I dislike playing dps. I want the fully leveled char just to finally have it sience I have been playing sience 2.0, but the burnout is getting real.

If you find just one job you like PvPing on. Que as whatever class you want xp and switch. You get the xp on the class you don't like and you can play class you like. As long as you can get ques popping regularly.

If your gear is good and you are organized 6 beast tribes and the hunts from HWs on is a couple levels a week less then 30 mins a day. Chocobo and good gear you can start at 50 and do all the mobs to 59. ARR beast tribes are a no go xp scaling is bad.SB isn't too bad as well.

Also can plan challenge log to get a little bump. It can get you a chunk of little work xp. Knowing to que on the job that will complete dungeon log and commendation at the same time. Switching when you are on the last fate before xp bonus.

Ran roulettes/did beast tribes on the classes I wanted to level that day and then didn't stress about it. If you just do that, you level pretty darn quick especially with the buffs that can be added. I started playing mid Stormblood and had other friends who joined after that, so that also helped since we could all run on an uncapped class and help each other out. Still, best not to stress over it.
