I just went to spend my old EX totems on some items to desynth. For each item, I had to click 7 times to purchase it and a further 4 times to desynth it.
For that reason, I knowingly necro this five year old thread. It's still very relevant today.

Bring back 6.0 Dragoon. I want my job back.
I think for actions with major implications a confirmation window is definitely useful. Like when you take an elevator to another floor. /s

I'm confident there is already an add-on for most of these problems. So it's not important to 70% of players. So it's not worth them fixing it.
I'm even more confident, that if there aren't such add-ons, there soon will be.

The number of clicks required to complete two retainers ventures and send them out again is quite spectacular.

I've heard for a fact this is something that add-ons improve.
Certainly if your trying to use retainers while using crafting windows.
Which is always.
The questions I have for the UI person:
"Why haven't you got your shit together and given us speech bubbles still or *who else is to blame*?"
"Why did you tell Yoshi inventory ticks couldn't be done? *or who did tell him that*?"
"Just what is your team doing with their time or is it literally JUST you for one THE biggest global MMOs? Because nothing new has appeared that needs UI except variant, island, and now cosmic. The UI improvements are a pitiful fraction of those that add-on users enjoy. Especially when it comes to crafting."
How involved in the new blocklist were you?
If you were involved in blacklists, what support were you given for this profoundly NON-UI matter, and who signed that off?

None. When you do the same process a couple of times, you will automatically wave away the confirmation window without reading it. Click action -> click "ok" on whatever window opens afterwards becomes part of your muscle memory.
That's why user friendly software adds a "don't show this message again" checkbox to their confirmation windows, so when you already know you don't read them, you can simply hide them for the future. No addons required, just 30 seconds of work for the person that programs said confirmation window.

I need them. I often click on things mindlessly and the pop up keeps me from making mistakes.

I agree.Give us the option so I can select what I want that to be removed from like extract materia or desynthLet’s be real: FFXIV has way too many confirmation windows in places that absolutely do not need them. To make matters worse, the default option for most of these windows is annoyingly set to “No” instead of “Yes,” so you can’t just keep pressing whatever hotkey you have set as Confirm – instead, you have to move the cursor over to “Yes” and select it each and every time. Here is a screenshot of what I consider to be some of the most egregious offenders:
As I'm sure you're aware, there are many places where the only reason you would ever be at the door is to enter/leave that instance. The Waking Sands, the Rising Stones, and houses are some of the best examples. Why else would I be down in the basement of that building in Western Thanalan other than to visit the Waking Sands, for example? Yet, for some inexplicable reason, the game assumes that even though I walked all the way out there, selected the door, and pressed the Confirm button once, it still needs to ask me if I want to enter. On top of that, it assumes that I do not want to enter. You can go from zone to zone normally just by walking up to the dotted line – why do we have all of these extra steps for buildings?
Another annoying one is extracting materia. This no longer destroys your gear, and having it spiritbonded literally provides no advantage, so why does it need to ask you whether you (and assume that you do not) want to extract materia?
The same thing goes for repairing – if I’ve opened up the repair window, I probably want to repair my gear. Why ask me again or assume that I do not want to repair it?
The mini-cactpot? Same thing. It takes all of 10 seconds to play and you’re guaranteed to come out with more MGP than you went in with. Why do you need to ask me this and assume I don’t want to play?
Aetheryte tickets too. I almost hate using them because it slows the process down. When you’re doing hunt trains during really busy times, this can make the difference between getting into a congested zone and being locked out until after one of the hunt monsters is already dead.
It would be really nice if SE could either do away with these confirmation windows or, at the very least, make the default option “Yes” instead of “No.”

Can they also remove the confirmation for using teleport tickets? That's one of the most annoying ones imo.
