Loosing rank if you stop playing is just plain out stupid most players dont wanna play Feast only for a whole season they wanna do other things in the game...

Feast usually dies out because Datacenter split on EU/NA really fucked up the PVP community as a whole there simply isnt enough players to make it pop often enough anymore.

Alts however is pretty damn stupid they need to force you to choose one character to play Ranked Feast with, alts just steal spots from other players that try for the rewards.

This is just an excuse.
Two things are stop Feast from growing: no rank decay and Rate matching caused quene time very horriable after first 4 weeks. Not many want to wait 1 hour for one match.
Feasted are drinking poison to stop their thirst with these two mindsets
