    I think adiablo like system is harder to implement with an achievment. In a wow like system you just need to check which parts are revelead. Diablo stile would kinda mean you need to check every pixel on the map if you ever touched it. Imagine a big fiel with actually nothing visible on the map and you running around to figure out which pixe l of that bit empty field you missed.
    I think it would be silly for them to make it unlock whole map by visiting area, they must know we have all teles and that is just easy, we would do it in like 20 minutes and that be it, back to square one, making it an absolute pointless design, a waste of resources, but SE like to do that for some reason so who knows!

    I think it will be Diablo style.

    Your point makes me think it might be more akin to the FFXI way. I predict that you have to either buy maps from NPCs that are in the area, or there will be NPC Cartographers that will mark your map as you explore.

    A fog of war seems cool too.
