That sounds like most of the hurdles are crossed. Enjoy touring the wards, and keep that map i linked in mind while you do. I dont think anyone linked the actual prices, so lets include those now. You were looking at smalls, so anything on the map with a purple border will run you 3,750,000(for instance, the shiro smalls on the beach). Blue borders are 3,562,500. Greens go 3,375,000. Oranges at 3,187,500. And finally, reds at 3,000,000. Once you own the land, you need to buy a permit to do the actual construction. This should be doable from the housing menu. The cost for the construction permit will run you 450,000 for a small. If you wind up short on cash(you bought a grade 1 plot but only had 4 mil for instance and are therefore 200k short), you have 45 days from when you buy the plot to get the permit. If you fail to do so in 45 days, the plot opens back up for other people to buy. Obviously, if you raised 2-3 mil in a couple weeks, you can raise 450k in 45 days. The permit will ask if you want to build a wood, stone, or composite house. Feel free to pick the one you like the most(the cost is the same), but youre free to change all the base features later so dont get too hung up on it. Once thats done, youll have a house on your land and immediately be free to start decorating and using its features. Congrats!
Super important side note: As the person doing the actual purchasing, when you do so via the placard it will ask if youre buying the house for yourself or for the free company. For the love of god pick the correct choice. The game doesnt give you a do-over to change your mind once the lot is bought. You would have to find an all new lot, save up the money again, and go through the buying steps - but with the likely added harassment of the random timer that wont be active for these new plots on tuesday. Good luck, and happy house hunting!
