It's intentional, at least as far as Dualcast's description states. The term "ability" in a tooltip always refers specifically to skills that have that classification as opposed to something like "spell" or "weaponskill." Sprint doesn't have the classification "Ability" so it cancels the effect. It doesn't have any classification at all, actually, so whether Sprint should have a classification might be up for debate.

As right as you are, Sprint shouldnt be a spell at all. It originally ate all TP making it a weaponskill/ability. Though if the devs intended this to be the case, its anyone's guess. I think OP has a legitimate discussion here, honestly. I never noticed it on RDM at all, but then again i usually wasnt thinking to sprint when dualcasting. Could be an unintended oversight.
Edit: Youre right. its probably intended at the end of the tool tip. So, no posing in the middle of dualcasting verraise
