IDK why anyone would get flamed for this.
Dropping mounts extends the lifetime of the content. People STILL do unsynced runs of Heavensward content for the birds.
Sure, let more content drop mounts.

I mean, you have to wait 4 months after savages release, and are still locked to 1 upgrade a week while savage raider have been bis for months.
Also, you only have tome upgrades, so your stats could suck.
That's the point. We're in the catch up part of the patches where the game allows people who don't run savage content to get their gear.
It isn't a flaw, it's the design.
The incentive for everyone else is that you can now farm the content to get your BiS on other classes (if you're into that), you can challenge yourself against some of the harder content in the game, and you can get a mount in the last floor.

Sure, latecomers will have less reason to run the first 3, but its the natural progression of time & raids. Raids offer a way to earn max ilvl gear without having to sacc your weekly tomes, while also offering that gear 3-4months ahead of when anyone else who's not doing them can earn the same ilvl gear. That also being said, currently even this late into the raid cycle, the unlocked raids give you easy access to unlimited 500 gear that's only limited by rolling luck(if you're in pugs and not a group of friends), whereas the weekly tomes are still capped at 450/week, and you can still only get one upgraded material from puppet's bunker + copied factory's tokens combined each week; meaning you're still severely time gated.
As others have said, not doing raids means you can't get BiS, which is important if you ever decide to do the Ultimate of the tier.
Also glamour always exist, which means the raid gear will always have value if someone likes a piece from the earlier fights.

There isn't a point beyond obtaining your Best in Slot, the sheer challenge or fun factor. Plenty of people simply do Savage just because they enjoy the fights or they're trying for logs. Savage isn't intended to attract mount farmers like EX Primals. They're meant for people who like harder content in the same way some people prefer to play games at a higher difficulty setting.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

I guess I technically have no issue against the idea of there being a mount for each fight.
Though you talk about how anyone can get 500 gear through alliance raid, you are forgetting the bit where you can only get 500 gear from alliance raids like 3+ months after the gear initially comes out that way, otherwise you still gotta run savage.
