Is it true that Halloween in FFXIV is cancelled?

I'll be honest; Halloween is my favorite holiday anyways. It's just a good, fun holiday. Last year's "Haunted Manor" I thought was a blast!

Well THIS year, I managed to get my sister into the game, and she's become obsessed with it! And like me, Halloween is her favorite holiday, too. So I obviously talked up how cool FFXIV's Halloween events are, with cool cosmetics, and last year's I thought was cooler than ever!

I just happened to see someone say lastnight, though, that the Halloween even is cancelled?!?

If it's true, well, then at least it would be good to know. Would definitely be a bummer, though.

Yes it is canceled but they're planning on extending the make it rain campaign to make up for it.

Correct. They said a while back that for the sake of not pushing patches or other seasonal events back any farther they're going to skip Halloween this year and run one of the Gold Saucer events (which also didn't run as usual this summer) in its place.

Thankfully part of the event will be added to the Make it Rain event. Most likely guess is that it will be the rewards we would have gotten from Halloween.

I imagine it would be, otherwise the devs wouldn't have said anything. Or at least close enough they thought they could finish them. Either way I would have preferred All Saint's Wake over Make it Rain; but oh well at least the holidays are always different.

Same, love me some All Saint's Wake. If they're planning on bringing back the FFXV crossover like they have with some others this year, the MiR event makes sense to give everyone a chance at getting the Regalia as I think you had to buy it with MGP.

I wouldn't mind events being copy paste of last year's, given the circumstances, but I'm guessing that would have meant there wouldn't be anything to put on the store this time around.

This is the one thing I've been sad about... hope we get a huge blowout event next year.
