I know the typical response to advice for someone who is bored, is they are "burned out" and should take a break or quit the game, but I'm anything but typical.
I think there is even another "T" word I get called for asking for improvements, pointing out flaws, or being logical and helpful.
Yet I seem to know pretty well how a thread will be received based on its title and context.
Here I post "normally" with no traction:

As was expected.
My other more "full" threads gain traction. Even though people say I dont know what I'm doing.
This response is in attempt to help spark ideas for not only the person in this thread if they so happen upon it, but also anyone else looking for some ideas.

I know people say I shouldnt even be allowed to talk, so its no question that I'm completely unqualified to speak on this topic. Especially considering I'm an achievement hunter, and my main character hovers in the top hundreds ranked players world wide. I also dont know how to keep the fun going, with my multiple alts all high levels for multiple classes.
I dont say that to boast, but just to put some things into perspective for the reader.
I've also been playing since before version 2.0 even released.
Anyway, enough of the rambling lets jump into it.
Intro:
First off the easiest answers here are "level other classes."
There are reasons why you "should" level the other classes, even if you arent immediately drawn to this suggestion.
Battle classes:
When you level alternate battle classes, you gain insight into the overall understanding of how the game and its functions work. Such as if you're a melee, who now is tanking, you know to keep the mobs still, so they are not rotating. Conversely, if you're a tank who has never played melee, but now you're leveling MNK, you notice the importance of keeping mobs still. This type of insight transfers between tanking and healing as well as other classes!
Crafting/Gathering:
I know a lot of players are turned off just by the idea alone, but consider 2 key things.
1. You can repair your own gear on the fly.
This is a great boon, and can save a lot of time and headache. (If only Square-Enix allowed us to repair other players gear too, like we could in 1.0, this feature would be even better!)
2. It goes extremely fast.
Just as one example, I leveled an alternate character, from level 0 Miner (the class not even unlocked) all the way to level 50, in under 1 hour. Its also quite fun, and engaging. I never thought I would like it either, but I tried it (admittedly in 1.0) and I enjoyed it, and its now one of the main reasons I even enjoy this game as much as I do.
List time:
(This is very difficult to explain how something can be fun, so I'm not going to try to cluster or organize this, its much easier just to tick off a huge list of random things in no particular order. Some of these are achievement hunting, some of them are accumulating points or gil or other currencies, just a huge list of random ideas.)
