Agree! Definitely better experiencing a virtual world than manning an electronic dashboard.
Wanting to play an easy to understand job doesn’t feel like it should be a problem, but nothing in this game is /that/ simple.
I picked up MCH very quickly, so I also put my vote to that. Main 123 combo, a few AEOs, coupled with a few straight forward skills off global cool down for big damage. It’s pretty clean and easy to recover from mistakes. I picked it up for aesthetic, but the current iteration became my favorite precisely because of the simplicity verses my other jobs I tend to play.
I’m willing to trade off some overall damage from a perfect rotation if it means I can consistently complete said rotation with few issues.
Then play a class with no procs, learn your rotation, and never look at the buttons. I would say, play machinist. 0 procs and a very set rotation. You can basically hide your Hotbar with a machinist if you know what you're doing.
Btw I would also say what you want isn't the easiest class, it's the class you can play by rote without needing to watch for hotbar flashes.

True, Dancer is very easy to play, but it's the job where I am looking almost constantly on my hotbar because of all the proccs and dance steps ^^

The easiest class is the one you practice with the most and take time to learn.
Wanted to put my nerd glasses emote, but the forum doesn't like it.![]()

*snerk*. Funny!
There's a lot of truth in this statement.
So, I'll flip your question around, T0rn. Without taking in consideration buttons or procs which class are you most interested in?

Play Mch.
No procs, no Dots, no party buffs to worry about, no cast times. Most braindead job in the game if you don't mind spamming buttons over and over.
Either that or play tanks.
WoW is -->
Seriously, this is one of the reasons I always laugh when people say FFXIV is too easy. Like, you've never played WoW which is a game where every class is essentially a three button rotation. There was actually a thread on the WoW forums a few weeks ago started by someone bashing FFXIV, and it backfired big time on the OP, with everyone in that thread saying FFXIV was by far the more difficult game and expects more of its players.
The only thing more difficult about WoW was its raiding and its higher-end content. That was the consensus of that thread.
