Instead of creating a new topic to post in, I'd advocate to continue using an old one.
And as with a lot of software, a lot of those tips and hints ends up being deprecated. Most notably class/job discussion and technical issues.

Seriously, the individual you so dumbfoundly is trying to protect pushed a 3 and another 6 year old thread about latency issues to the front page. Half of his posts are literally about bumping dead and decomposed threads. I've counted!

Is it upsetting? Not really, because as i mentioned he is breaking the rules and as such should be banned. What is upsetting however are people who gives this troll a "free" feeding ground by going around and telling others that he is doing no wrong, which only servers to agitate the community.

Should bumping be ok? Yes obviously, if it actually servers to forward the discussion as indirectly mentioned in the rule.
