Concerned about getting banned or punished.

Hello

I'm not new to the game but haven't played for a while, actually years.
Now i started playing again about 2 weeks ago and completed the mainstory a few days ago.

Then i started to do the quests for the latests 2 raids (Nier).
While doing the first raid, i got a phonecall that i will have to open the frontdoor in 5min (we don't have a doorbell). I told the party that, and that i would brb, i didn't (family business that i did not expect). It was a weird situation that did not made it possible for me to get back to the game, so i was afk the whole time. The raid finished and everyone waited for me to roll the loot, but i couldn't because of the situation. People where angry of course, and i don't blame them. I saw they were pissed off in the chat later when i came back.

I really do feel bad about this, because i let those people down and made them wait.

Now, my question is. Can those people have reported me for this and will i get punished for this? I couldn't warn them that i couldn't play anymore, because of the family matter. So i couldnt leave the duty or disconnect or shut down my ps4...

I wouldn't worry. While anyone can report anyone for anything, GMs usually don't take action against the innocent. And even if they somehow thought you were intentionally trying to abuse others, this resulting in more than a warning seems very unlikely.

Honestly, I've seen it many times where people had to afk and then others were mad about the loot.
While it can be annoying to wait I never thought to report a person who was just afk or even those who intentionally wait hoping for people to leave. I don't think anyone would bother reporting for such a thing and if someone does then those are some astronomical levels of salt o-o

I wouldn't worry about it tbh, if they were that bothered they'd have vote kicked you.

I feel like only a particular vindictive person would report you for afking during looting. I've never contemplated it even when I was mentally yelling at them to roll already. Having to sit for a few minutes is hardly the end of the world.

Were you afk for more than 10 mins? Because that is when the game kick you out of duty. If you were still afk after 10 mins that means you were there.. just not doing anything. Worst case you will get a warning... if someone reported you.

You can't force people to stay in a duty by not rolling on loot, because there is a timer on it and it will distribute eventually anyway even without any input from your side. So who cares.

You have no reason to worry about in that situation, if something the blame should be in your party members, because you explained the situation. As long as you are honest and truthful with people there should be no problems. Have fun ^^
