    Yes, but the Ascians can't plan for it. They are not outside the flow of time. They cannot calculate where they need things to line up across shards. They just have to work on their plans here and now, and adapt the plans if the time difference is shifting in ways that don't suit them.

    Well... this isn't necessarily true. There are some, arguably, throw away lines where something like, "This was not foretold!" It's possible that since they have apparent mastery over the Echo that they can see the future akin to or better than the Raen from Bozja relics can. It's just, you know, futuresight and other time based shenanigans get into retroactive continuity and the like, thus making their job even harder, at times! Yeehaw! Ride on, Buuz Boy!
