...But they don't fix classes - like AST's cards - due to community feedback? I don't know if I should laugh or cry. xD

I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.
I'd open the umbrella if I were you... there's a storm coming.
Honestly, it's a bit of a tinfoil hat moment.. butt the devs have been criticized for being out of touch during ShB in terms of how they're handling some things; At least, that's the most frequent criticism i hear.
Changing how the 2B bottoms worked (even though the 2B bottoms have gotten nothing but praise by community) and coming back to fix it in an earlier than scheduled patch (that was released very close to Christmas) is an easy way to get points with their subscribers, and make it look like they're listening to customer feedback (Which was the response from people).
Even though your post is criticizing them, it still makes reference to them listening to the community.
I mean, i doubt that sqex was thinking about the situation that way; but that doesn't mean it doesn't look a little convenient.

Male butts are still flat with the 2B bottoms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They need to address the issue equally.
Yes because job design and whether or not 2b pants make your butt bigger are comparable issues...
Didn't they say that going forward, they'll be testing the 2B leggings on each gear just to make sure it doesn't clip and make adjustments if it does? That's a lot of work for just 1 item when clipping exists everywhere and they're not fixing it.
I'm willing to guess the butt thing was just easier to do. Tho to be fair, Healers have a right to be pissed since they have been wanting answers since 5.0 :c
These two aren't comparable, and one is easier to deal with than the other.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Yeah, I really hope they give healers back some offensive tools down the road. It's one thing to not have as complicated a dps rotation as a dps job, but I feel they stripped things down a bit too much. It's nice to still have more to healer dps when soloing stuff (including quests and solo duties), or when you're in a group and there just isn't much healing to do at the moment.
There's also that. Even in my FC's discord at the time there were people furious about having the cards simplified, and others saying 'this is better than just fishing for balance.'
