Mastercraft Demimateria help

got into the game recently and loved crafting, have gotten to 50 with all crafters, I'm at the pooint of trying to get mastercraft demimateria and my luck just isnt there, ive been going about it based on old forum info and want to know if its still current

Do you get them from de synthing artisans needles, or spectacles?

i have been de synthing both, and my desynth skill is above 100, i have now desynthed probably 8 needles, and 16 glasses and have yet to find a single one, judging by the drp rates people have listed it doesnt seem impossible but pretty damn unlucky at this point

Honestly, you are better off buying these from the MB now days. They are worth a fraction of what they use to sell for and much easier to get a hold of now that players can visit other servers within a data center.

I get mine with Artisan Spectacles. The rate is relatively low...I usually get 2-4 for every 25 that I desynth. You can also get Fieldcraft Demimateria III this way, but I think this rate is much lower than it used to be - I get about 1 for every 50 desynths of those. I have better success with buying Bridesmaid Sandals in Uldah for the fieldcraft ones.

I know some people like to get their Artisan Spectacles with seals, but 5000 each is pretty steep for where I am now so I usually farm hippogryph skins to make the straps and trade them in, which I have found the easiest.

I've been rolling on any gear I come across that's roughly around job lvl 50 and desynthing them and I've been getting some. Maybe that's something you can do. I usually come across a lot of them while doing my daily DR and completing my Wondrous Tails
