I don't like that idea, because then it becomes a matter of who gets to the nodes first. It sounds unbalanced and unfair in theory.Instead of having a
"Gather or make ridiculous amounts of things."
Which does create unhealthy situations of people spending too much time in Diadem, not to mention a lot of botting.
How about Having a single player instance that can only be used ONCE in which during up to one hour you gather items on your list. And whoever does it the fastest wins.
Key is doing it ONCE. That way no way to automate the win. And no unhealthy 24 hours sessions for people. Just up one hour to gather as fast as you can.
The same logic can be used for bosses. Make a single player boss No one has battle before (which can later be reused on a trial or duty) and have people enter ONLY ONCE during the month. Then measure who wins the fastest. Eliminating those who lose.
Then take the first 16 and make another ONLY ONCE battle to decide who is first.
Of course in both instances the item level of everyone is forced to be the same. So that only skill is accounted.
As for craters.
Have a particular item that is hard to make and impossible to get full quality although the materials are given then judge based on both the quality of the item and the time to create it.
