ranked pvp mounts?

I love mounts, and want to collect em all, so it really bothers me that there is ranked PVP mounts that are limited time.
I'm not saying take them out entirely, because it's supposed to feel special to place in the ranking. (But it does bother me that Ishgard ranking did not get mounts but PVP does)

Maybe make a glowy version that is top 100 only while putting the default in somewhere else. This would only work for future mounts, so maybe previous mounts could get a recolor? They could still be PVP only, maybe even feast only.

It just.. really sucks that there's all these cool mounts that are for a limited time, for a limited amount of people, and there Nothing you can do if you don't get it. It's a shame how much work no doubt goes into those mounts and I haven't seen a single one actually being used by a player in game :(

(Personally I think it best if they get titles showing what season they won and maybe like, top 100, top 50, top 25, top 10, but I doubt they'll do that)

People have been asking for some variant of these since the first ones were announced. It seems unlikely at this point to even give us a recolor. I just don't like that all these rewards go to the same people and those who buy their wins.

well you already can't get them all if you joined just last year. there is no possible way to get the 1.0 mounts either (legacy chocobo and goobue). =p

also pvp mounts already have many recolors (still only available to them) but having yet another pve recolor would do no good either because it would be too similar.

Hate to say it, but if you want anything from PvP, do PvP. Asking for an alternative way to gain the exact same thing or 95% similar thing that was formerly exclusive to PvP rewards by not doing PvP defeats the purpose of doing PvP in the first place.

I for one am against it. If something interests me, I grit my teeth and do it, anxiety / lack of skill be damned, thats why I train.

How would it "do no good" to offer a recolor to 99.9% of the playerbase? There's a point where exclusivity is idiotic. I can agree the 1.0 vet stuff could be left alone, but the more current stuff could have alternate means to get one. Maybe make the PVP ranked mounts be a golden version?

Completionism in a MMO is either a lost cause or will eat too much of your real life.
You really don't need those mounts. You probably have enough already.

You either play when it's relevant and fight for your place in the top 100 or you don't get your reward, it's as simple as that nothing needs to change because people simply want something that's rare to obtain and god forbid that people in this mmo have rare items they fought for... No ifs - no buts just work for it like everyone else did who got the rewards.

At the end of the day the rewards aren't meant to be mass obtained and they never were designed to be and thats okay, out of the whole game the rewards make up for like 0.1% of the games rewards.

PvP is dead anyway, so i think making angry these 3 people who do PvP is a small price to pay for more mounts. They probably bought their wins anyway, so it's only fair.

No you didn't do the content you don't get the rewards. PvP players already get shafted a lot in this game, you'll be fine not having a few mounts.
