I hope the G-Warrior Questline is heading into a Xenogears crossover

Because it would be neat to see Valens pilot Weltall and its oversoul version will be Weltall-Id as the final Robot as a surprise twist lol; his battle theme will be KNIGHT OF FIRE since his armor is all fiery and red.

I might be placing too much hope into this, but I noticed certain themes with G-Warrior that are very similar to Xenogears and Xenosaga in terms of gameplay (and its gas unit relying on EP) that I hope will get a surprise crossover.

I feel like there could be a lot of fun with that just being a whole actual content piece, gears I mean. On your thread point yeah a Xenosaga or gears crossover could be interesting too lol.

I like the you referencing to gears since like in xeno in general calling your mech was a little bit of an ordeal lol. I think that Gears would have made a significantly better limited job concept than blue, with a much better control over progression / rate, and still offering and perhaps more so a wildly different gameplay style. Would be interesting if they don't drop the concept in the future and keep toying with it.

This wouldn't be the first time Xenogears crossed over to a Final Fantasy game if it happens. World of Final Fantasy also did a crossover with Xenogears.


I think a Xenogears crossover with Final Fantasy XIV would be pretty cool crossover. Maybe bring in Tetsuya Takahashi as a special guest.

G-Warrior is a reference to a LOT of mecha. The design of the "hair tentacles" is reminiscent of Overman King Gainer, the sound effect heard when it first pulls out its sword is the Newtype Flash sound effect from Gundam, Pyretic Booster's red glow is very reminiscent of Weltall's Id form from Xenogears, EP was the "battery" gauge for the Gears (mechs) in Xenogears, the Auto Restoration skill seems like a callback to the Frame HP (sacrifices fuel for HP) and Charger (restores fuel via using the Charge command) accessories for Gears in Xenogears, and the Ultima Buster is pretty much every giant mecha laser ever.

Honestly I just wish we'd keep the G-Warrior around. Hell, just make the MSQ a mecha story for the Garlean arc! Only half joking. As unlikely its to happen, the G-Warrior Duty had me giddy like a 10 year old on christmas eve.

Would dig a msq as you said that uses a mecha mount, with actual actions that did stuff like in praetorium. Would be super dope, esp if we could custom dye it

Having a customizable mecha the same way we have customizable chocobos sounds really cool to me; being able to dye it and augment it with parts to change the way it looks and functions. Aside from a potential Xenogears crossover, Square Enix should really consider expanding on the mecha battle we had by adding a mecha content that we can queue up as a group.
