Disappointment in my fellow crafters/gatherers

Here we are. 5 days after ranking season is done in firmament. This step is finally half filled in what would have taken less time during ranking season.

I am overall disappointed that people seemingly only cared about some stupid title then actually helping rebuild ishgard. Which if everyone remembers is to rebuild and give us housing when completed overall.

Instead what do we get. We get people who only care about a title or will congregate and leech skybuilders points when those fun little fates happen. Just so they got some sense of saying they did something. When the opposite is true.

The devs need to further tweak this. I would think a modification that if you dont donate a certain number of crafts during the donation process that you arent allowed to take part in the fate step. If this were to happen though they would need to set it high enough where people would actually need to put in work. Will this happen. Probably not.

I am just highly disappointed in the general playerbase on each server this has happened on. You all cry for housing but wont help do the one thing we got going on right now that is guaranteed housing coming.

You have until 5.41 to complete this step of it. Things are proceeding. The content is fine. People have other important things to do than machine gun out an endless stream of collectibles. It should absolutely not happen to gatekeep the ishgard FATEs given that this content is also for crafters/gatherers who are in the process of leveling, not only the ones at 80 who have other objectives in-game than to constantly run macros for 80 crafts or do Expert turn-ins, especially given that the markets for everything bought with skybuilders scrips- the primary reason for a level 80 to engage with the system- are completely flooded and it's best to focus on other incentives while waiting for the supply to stabilize.

Not only have they never confirmed this to be the case, literally every piece of quest text and dialogue states that it's going to be housing for NPCs. Will they probably give us player housing anyway? Almost certainly. But given that it's just going to probably be 60 plots x 24 wards of the same broken housing system as always I personally don't have my hopes up for it anyway.

I'm taking it easy for a bit because after binging for a title I need a break yo.
I'm also not pushing for world's first on clearing this step of the restoration, so I'm gonna take my time.
Is this really so disappointing?

Aurida back in one of the liveletters it was basically confirmed. We are just doing the ishgard rebuild to work towards that. It's our minigame so to speak. There are others like you who dont believe it. Story wise there is zero reason why we would be doing restoration at all on this scale.

I do find this worth it to say its disappointing because it looks like people just cared about some stupid title over doing what this content was meant for. If you burn yourself out chasing some spot on a leaderboard that is meaningless anyways. Well that's not my issue.

My original point still stands. I am disappointed in my fellow crafters and gatherers. It's my right to be because most of them cry for housing.

It's sad that since ranking has stopped I am in firmament alot sitting here crafting if I'm not doing my daily stuff or a levekit for someone.

I see at most 8-10 people and most of them just levelling. Ramuh forbid I want to see progress on a piece of content that in the end benefits everyone

You're about to be even more disappointed in me, because I wasn't even in it for me.
I was gathering to help someone in my FC.
I don't really give a shit about a title, I was in it to support my friend.

Nah that's noble but you still didnt have to go so hard. See the other thing people forget is with 4.35 comes alot of new content. We got raids, we got the front which is for step 2 battle relics.

I seen someone in here say we got till 5.41. No, we got till 5.35 then people will be super busy doing raids and stuff for weeks leaving firmament more dead then it is now.

Yes, we do have more content coming up. But we have literally months to do it all.
I believe you're being a little too alarmist about all this.

A few people like to craft at their personal house/fc rather than firmament, myself included. It's a lot quicker to access the mb to craft something fast in case your food buff is about to go off in a few mins.
