Platform - PS4
Error messages received - 90006, 90002, occasionally 2002
Wired or WIFI connection - Wired (LAN) but also WiFi
Other programs being used when running FFXIV - None, and nothing else running connected to my network at the time either
When disconnect occurs/How often - Varies, sometimes its every 2-5mins, other times 10-15, 30-40. There is always significant lag no matter how long I'm able to log in for.
To resolve the issue I have:
- reset my console and router
- ensured all the relevant ports are open on my router
- phoned my ISP to see if there's a fault on the line that could be contributing to the issue (there's not)
- tried a new router in case of a fault with the hardware (no change)
- reinstalled the game on my PS4
- followed advice given to other players re: enabling cookies etc on the PS4 web browser
- playing during off-peak times
- changed LAN cables
- moved my router to a location closer to the PS4 and without any objects that could interfere with signal.
The problem is only happening on NA servers (Ultros), I have no issues connecting to EU or Japanese servers. The connection quality in game for the Primal DC has been listed as poor since 5.31 dropped with lag spikes coinciding with the 5.31 drop, and finally resulting in the disconnect issues I've been having persistently since early on the 11th.
Edit to add: My husband is also having the same issue, and has been for the same amount of time. His disconnects happen at different times to mine, but with similar frequency. He's taken the same troubleshooting steps as I have with no improvements as well. His details - Grave Disorder, Ultros (Primal)
