    Wired or WIFI connection - Wired (LAN) but also WiFi
    Other programs being used when running FFXIV - None, and nothing else running connected to my network at the time either
    When disconnect occurs/How often - Varies, sometimes its every 2-5mins, other times 10-15, 30-40. There is always significant lag no matter how long I'm able to log in for.


    To resolve the issue I have:
    - reset my console and router
    - ensured all the relevant ports are open on my router
    - phoned my ISP to see if there's a fault on the line that could be contributing to the issue (there's not)
    - tried a new router in case of a fault with the hardware (no change)
    - reinstalled the game on my PS4
    - followed advice given to other players re: enabling cookies etc on the PS4 web browser
    - playing during off-peak times
    - changed LAN cables
    - moved my router to a location closer to the PS4 and without any objects that could interfere with signal.


    The problem is only happening on NA servers (Ultros), I have no issues connecting to EU or Japanese servers. The connection quality in game for the Primal DC has been listed as poor since 5.31 dropped with lag spikes coinciding with the 5.31 drop, and finally resulting in the disconnect issues I've been having persistently since early on the 11th.

    Edit to add: My husband is also having the same issue, and has been for the same amount of time. His disconnects happen at different times to mine, but with similar frequency. He's taken the same troubleshooting steps as I have with no improvements as well. His details - Grave Disorder, Ultros (Primal)

    -When disconnect occurs/How often: Consistent disconnects where I can only log in max for 2 minutes then I get kicked out with the 2002 and 90002 this has been happening since 9/22 until now.
    -Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: Allowing game through Firewall, restarting my router, trying to reinstall the game atm.

    Other programs: No other programs running.
    When: Since I started playing again about 40 days ago. Every 20-40 minutes regardless of what Im doing in game. No lag, just a sudden DC.
    I have: forwarded ports in my router, added the game to windows defender, disabled windows defender, reinstalled the game, used VPN with various server locations, used a different ISP (mobile connection).

    Sadly if this continues I will not be buying any more game time after my 2 month game card runs out. Im enjoying the game but this kind of service is just not something Im willing to spend money on.

    Sept 24th, 2020 around my 7am (GMT+8), I can't log in to the NA servers but I can log in perfectly fine in EU and JP servers without any issues.

    -Everything you have tried to resolve the issue:
    Reset the modem.
    Refresh the IP address.
    Called my ISP and they haven't change a thing since last month.
    Tried using Google DNS.
    Redownload the game multiple times.

    The only solution is that I can play NA servers by using VPN. :/

    Raised 2 tickets with in-game support. Advised/have done the following:
    - Used Google DNS
    - Renewed IP address and DNS
    - Disabled firewalls/added FFXIV to exception list
    - Restarted modem
    - Tried the connection with and without a VPN
    - Forwarded ports based on portforward.com
    - Disabled UPnP
    - Changed data centre, then switched back to Chaos

    Happens to my partner (Kiara Blackstone) too. We're both on Moogle. However our internet is not dropping, and our ISP have confirmed that they have not made any changes/updates at their end recently.

    This has only started to happen since the start of September 2020.

    Error messages: Mostly lagging/loading issues, one 2002 error (see below)
    Other programs running: none
    When disconnect occurs: Slowdown is mostly noticeable in cities. I'm not playing a lot of battle content at the moment but haven't noticed loading issues in dungeons.
    Attempted resolution: I haven't tried anything because I'm not sure if there's anything I can fix.


    Generally no errors/crashes but lagging and slow loading.
    - slow loading of players and NPCs in busy towns such as Limsa and Eulmore - on multiple occasions I had to wait several seconds for a shopkeeper NPC to appear
    - some brief lagging in dungeons
    - "tried on" gear while in Limsa, soon after arriving, and the gear preview screen was blank (not showing my character, just the grey background) for several seconds
    - teleported out of Limsa and the teleport animation did not play correctly - character "floating up" animation played but the sound and glowing effect only kicked in at the last second.

    Had one 2002 error the other night where the game had crashed and I was trying to log back in - I went from the main menu into the "select character" page and it just showed the blue background with no text or character appearing, then eventually crashed again. Worked correctly on the second attempt to log in.

    -Error messages received: 90002 usually (connection time spanning 1 - 6 hours), 90001 just now, twice in 10 minutes.
    -Wired or WIFI connection: Wired
    -Other programs being used when running FFXIV: MSI Afterburner, Steam (in offline mode), Discord, Firefox
    -When disconnect occurs/How often: as above.
    -Everything you have tried to resolve the issue: My DHCP address is set to be DMZ (demilitary zone) and has been for weeks while still receiving same errors, Windows firewall is off, Malwarebytes has a blind eye towards FFXIV

    Additional info:
    Was in a trust dungeon... Fighting an armadillo, disconnected at 10% left; reconnected - killed him, pulled a new pack of mobs and disconnected again - 90001. Normally I get 90002 errors.
    Never had any other errors other than the above two.
    Also tried two network adapters (my motherboard comes with an intel gigabit one and a realtek 2.5gb one; both experience same issues; all power saver settings are off because I hate trees that get in the way of my immersion).
    I have never experienced notable lag while playing the game, always runs to spec.

    A word of note: I migrated from Zodiark to Omega. Did not experience these issues in Zodiark; as soon as I got into Omega, disconnections were rampant.

    I'm also getting the random crashes for no reason. Managed to play for 30 mins yesterday but normally its only 10/15 mins. It seems to happen more frequently if I change areas. I can tell its going to crash as the minimap in the top right is blank.

    -Platform - PC
    -Error messages received - None really. Just a box that say FFXIV has encountered an error and needs to close. It does have (17.) after it as well.
    -Wired or WIFI connection - WIFI
    -Other programs being used when running FFXIV - Steam
    -When disconnect occurs/How often - Every 10 to 15 minutes on average. Did manage around 30 minutes last night.
    -Everything you have tried to resolve the issue - Stopped all apps from loading on start up, play in windowed mode, graphics dropped to minimum, tired changing to DX9 (crashes immediately on this), play from a fresh load of windows (e.g. restart my pc then play it). Updated graphics drivers to latest version

    What graphics hardware do you run?

    To allay the fears - I am on the newest version of Windows (chromium edge) and it has caused no issues.
    If it crashes while in-game; there's likely to be a driver fault; but we can ascertain that after you mention which graphics card you have.
    Has this always affected you or have you only started playing recently?
