Could we get an expansion to free Character customization in the near future?

While I agree that it'd be nice to see things like eye color and face and such changeable from the aesthetician (especially for viera/hrothgar) gender is probably a bigger deal in this game than in WoW. In XIV a lot more things are gender specific and it may not be as easy to change that on the fly. A fantasia at east makes you think twice about switching first.

It could just unequip female-only things or remove glamors on things like that how the game auto-unequips gear when changing classes/jobs though.

There aren't too many reasons to not have that be a choice outside of "Fantasia", which WoW did it and FFXIV can do the same and have Fantasia be for full character rerolls (names, deities, race.etc)

You know what? I think SE could add it in but really expensive. Like 50mil+ plus the aestheticism could be like 25-50k just for an added Gil sink.

Well, maybe it is either 50k Gil for Gender (The most expensive change) or make it cost tombstones (Poetics being the highest tombstone, Weekly-capped being the lowest cost)

Skin, voice, and eyes are the three I could see being the most legitimate to request. I can remember years ago picking a voice with TERRIBLE battle grunts that always stood out over the sound effects of the moves I was using. Ended up spending an additional $10 after the change to again change the voice (after looking up the sounds the voices make on YouTube)

Skin and eyes seem minor enough that it should be an easy option, and important for Hrothgar where their "skin" color is half of their hair color.

If you buy a fantasia, you should be able to unlock all customizations of the class you go to and revert back the other classes you unlocked with said fantasia. The in-game aesthetician could charge the normal hairstyle fee for hairstyles, and another fee for other things. Whether you have to logout or not is up to the game engine but I think that more people would buy fantasias if you could unlock other races and customize them whenever. SE might have some dubious reason why it would be cost prohibitive for them though.
