As a savage/ultimate raider, i feel like odd numbered updates offers zero gear progression, which is a huge thing for me and many others like me, so with the recent addition of the Unreal Trials, i believe that system can be adapted for Unreal Savage bosses from previous tiers so it can spice things up for gear/raid progression minded people.
my suggestion goes like this: we'd get last floor boss from some previous tier upsynced for current ilvl (for current minimal savage ilvl), as for rewards the objective is for both types of player who already have cleared the savage tier from the previous even numbered update and people still progging the savage tier(to give them a little ilvl boost).
The rewards being a different colored mount from the original boss drop and savage ilvl(maybe+5 since it would have some kind of lockout) gear to serve as a "catch up" mechanism to help groups finish the current savage tier(and having a "fresh" fight to have a change of scenary as well)
max ilvl would be the equivalent to the savage tier (BiS) so the gear from last savage would be useful outside the raid itself and having a weekly/bi-weekly lockout so we don't make savage become irrelevant as well.
just as a final note, i get the whole thing that Yoshi-P said about being ok to take a break, but what i'd like is something to do if do not want to take a break, also this unreal system take significanlly less time to develop than a whole new fight, so i think it's perfectly reasonable to have this kind of content in-between raid tiers so high-end oriented players have something to do in the game if they want to.
also if you like to improve on my original suggestion, please feel free to do it, hopefully this gets to the Developers and we have some kind of implementation in the future.
