If I hold my book until the next reset to turn it in so I can get tombstones of allegory (already capped this week), will I be also able to get a new book for the week?

Yes. I've done that several weeks, now that 50 allegory seems to always be a 1-line reward.

The only thing like that that ever happens is that Khloe will reject a book that's 2 weeks old or older outright. But she'll still give you a new one.

So if im reading the question right, you have this weeks book and want to wait until reset to turn it in. Your concern is that you dont want that to block you from getting next weeks book. If that is the situation, then you have nothing to worry about. When you ask Khloe for a book, all the game checks is whether you have one in your inventory now and whether you have already received one since the most recent weekly reset. On turning in the book, all that gets checked is whether the book is expired or not and what reward you qualify for(and possibly if youve done 9 tasks and applied your stickers - i think if you try to turn one in early theres a prompt and im just kinda assuming that if you have stickers unchecked it makes you do those first although ive never thought to test this).

If i read your post wrong and what you have is last weeks book you want to hold off turning in and still receive this weeks then that wont work. Youd hit the double whammy of your old book being expired, and missing out on this weeks.

Once you receive a book, you have two weeks from taking it to hand it in.

So, provided you took this weeks book and want to hand it in next week after reset, thats fine, you can even get a new one straight away as far as im aware.
Any older then 2 weeks and the current book you have on you will be invalidated.
