I was issued a strike on my account due to my name as i have pointed to your useless GMs that you have NPC's with far worse names IE "cute Courtesan" which is a fate within your game which means (A cute Prostitute) you can not strike names which you deem inappropriate when you have NPCs like that i want this strike removed according to the email sent out "You may not use profanity or any language that a reasonable person would find offensive. The Game is for players aged 16 and older except players who are resident in Germany, Australia or New Zealand where the Game is for players aged 12 and older. You agree to behave accordingly." SE you can not chose what rules you expect your players to follow and you yourself break them this is hypocrisy. i wouldn't have an issue with strike if there where no inappropriate or suggestive themes within the game you govern your player base

Ff14 is a Japanese themed game, as they have displayed many times in many ways. The term courtesan, while having negative connotations in English, is much closer to a professional high-society entertainer in Japanese culture, such as a singer, dancer, or waitress. In other words, it is an accurate Japanese to English translation that is easily misunderstood due to cultural boundaries. So...what was your excuse?

Don't come here with a rant and crying about it, then try and be pissy when someone offers an opinion. Don't like being forced to change your name? Easy fix, don't name your characters stuff that can be construed as lewd, or graphic.

FFXIV isn't a demoracy and you don't get a vote. You pay to go play in a world belonging to someone else. They make the rules and if they decide to apply them more strictly to you than they do to themselves that's their choice. You got caught with a stupid offensive name and now you are attempting to justify it like a 6 year old with "but they did it too". And protip: don't insult the people you want to help you. You agreed to their TOS when you installed the game, and under that TOS agreed to their behaviour standards including naming for your character and chocobo.

I’ve seen some inappropriate names in the game before, racist, sexist, and sexually explicit ones, and eventually those players got strikes because they, like you, broke the rules. The company absolutely can choose what rules they apply and how they govern their player base, we all agree to that when we start playing their game. Just be thankful it was just a strike, and I presume an enforced name change, and not a ban because they’d be within their rights to do that if they chose.
