Frankly, The Echo might allow the WoL to catch glimpses of the future, after all it is G'raha's relative past.

I agree. If there is any important knowledge to gain from this now defunct future, can be seen with the Echo and G'raha. This can easily be fit in to any kind of plot shenanigans by G'hara remembering and we echo it. And conveniently he is now in the Scions and plans to go on the next adventure.

So I'd say the alternate future is off the table.

Might be neat to visit as part of a raid or deep dungeon. Stop some threat to that world and check in with the Ironworks, let 'em know the plan worked.

I think they would only do it as some kind of last expansion.

Sometime when we fixed our world and when we are a nearly full ascien, then graha will remind us of his old world and the timestring he left behind unfixed.
Then we go there and maybe even have a idea how to help emet and elidibus to get the Asciens back alive without destroying all other lifeforms.

Actually, we already did. Remember the scene in Ishgard with all the rumbling and people looking at Heavensward (the book)? That was most definitely a vision of the Bad Future timeline.

That said, I think we could send something to the time where the tower vanished to dump some knowledge on them, as a token of thanks, although that'd be the limit.
