Oh I already knew this was a troll bait thread. But my mistake is actually reading through the posts and seeing people start believing into the bs even though they say its a troll.

Its like one of those crappy gaming articles were people start reporting false information based on assumptions, like that recent SE report of their fiscal year and they took the "not making any new expansion packs" out of context. Its just so stupid

From my understanding devs moved onto 16 because Yoshi P believed it would be good for their creative sanity...some devs just buckle under making the same stuff over and over. But then some come back from 16 to help tie things up with 14...if one or the other would honestly be impacted it wouldn't have been taken on. They had been making the game for years and also if anyone remembers their covid post in regards to 16 they had issues as well with assets from outside contractors...it isn't all just their team haha.

FF16 will appeal to a whole new generation of players and potentially get them to be interested in ff14.

We now have evidence that FF16 is the reason why we have only one dungeon per patch, no new deep dungeon, a delayed exploratory zone (Bozja), less and less glamours, still no female Hrothgar or male Viera, no Hrothgar and Viera headgear...

It's because all the resources generated by hard working FF14 players are leeched off and used to make FF16. People guessed that it would be FF7 remake but they're actually wrong. It's FF16. A director cannot simultaneously work on two games and talent in FF14 should not be poached off to work on FF16. We paid for FF14 not for FF16.

Who cares, as long people can play and use FFXIV as an alternative Second Life viewer, erp,night clubs and heavy degeneracy most of the player base don't care about new content.
PVE its so dead that PVP queues are almost instantly.

I honestly dont get the point of this topic. Even if it somehow had a modicum of truth then that would just mean whatever resources borrowed for FFXVI will soon pour back to FFXIV since the game is about to get released.

I do not care about ff16 at all. Can't think of the last game I played where I could not create my own character. I don't want to be some devs character. I want to be mine.

And people should necro everything at this point. Put that AI forum bot to work on moderating.

FF16 is a game I will never play or care about. The last 2 Final Fantasy games have bought was FFXI and FFXIV. I won't buy any game that I can't create my own character in. All I care about is them adding content to this game and not on other games that might fail.
