Please add some new expensive rewards to grind for at the Gold Saucer

MGP is so easy to collect now with the addition of the challenge log, more fruitful GATEs, bonus VIP cards etc. that I’ve literally run out of things to buy at the Gold Saucer.

When it was first released Fenrir and the Cloud card were huge grinds without the aforementioned bonuses, I’d like a new sort of grind to be added now. Give us a 10 million MGP mount to work towards or something crazy like that.

Every new patch I run to the prize desk to see if there’s anything new but every time there’s just 1-2 minor things for 80-100K ish and that’s it. We have cool new GATEs and new NPCs to play cards with, but nothing to spend our winnings on. It doesn’t make sense.

Please add an über expensive new reward to work towards at the gold saucer.

Seriously we neeed more rewards for MGP, a bunch of itemshop items would fit Gold Saucer more, but unfortunately Square Enix loves money above all else.

Agree. The rewards this time were nice but they might as well have been free handouts. MGP is easier than ever to earn with the Fashion Report and Verminion Tournament (you don't even have to play Verminion). I'm still sitting on 7 million and haven't done any GS in nearly 8 months. A 10 million MGP mount would be nice. That feeling back in the day when I finally got Fenrir from mini-cactpot alone after months and months was great.

Unfortunately, I suspect MGP has fallen into the same problem Achievements Points did. They're too easy to obtain now, thus anything they put in there people will grab the second the patch drops and not have to actually grind. The dev team has a real bad habit of not considering the long term...

The problem is they dont update MGP rewards often enough so it becomes a problem within itself. You have so so so many ways to obtain MGP to the point where you have very few rewards.

This is a problem that most likely wont get fixed. Maybe when they make the next final fantasy mmo.

Yes, this is the real problem.
Stuff that's now at Wolves Den would've normally come out at the gold saucer instead, like those hair styles and mounts.
Either they need to let us spend mgp on something more "liquid" like those new dyes, jet black dyes, etc so that we actually start running out of mgp or they need to update the place more than twice a year. The Bee's knees dance was a great addition to it but that's the best we've gotten all of Shadowbringers so far.
I highly commend FFXIV's accessibility, it's a beautiful thing, but they need to re-evaluate the purpose of the gold saucer, the rewards, and the mgp cost.
Like I said, they could start by making all future dyes gold saucer exclusive; from there it could be "here's where you get all npc stuff" like clothes, emotes, boss weapons, boss inspired mounts like the Gubal library chair mount (and the one I really want, the mud boss from Saint Mocciane HM as a mount), etc.
