    ManaDC Latency issues and packet loss (tracert included)

    Since July, I have been experience latency that makes dungeons/group content unplayable. I have contacted my ISP and had them open the suggested ports on my router: no improvement.

    These spikes are much worse from 5pm to 11pm local time, so initially I thought my provider was to blame, but if you look at the TraceRT I am losing packets in Tokyo, not locally.

    What, if anything, can be done about this. It may be pointless to stay subscribed if this persists.

    Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WiFi? Additionally, does this only occur in dungeons and group content?

    I am connected directly to the router with an ethernet cable.

    The latency occurs in all forms of gameplay. It will display Sending: 0 Receiving: 0 Or it will send but not receive, and vice versa.

    I can tell immediately if I am unable to play when the other players in the city are moving inconsistently, stopping and starting suddenly. Also if I click on an NPC and it the game just stands still, taking several seconds for them to respond.

    The very strange thing is, all the Japanese data centers are the worst, even though I am geographically closest to them. The US servers have the same issue, but not as dramatically as the JP ones.

    I have been in contact with my ISP trying to understand and resolve this situation. I screen captured my TraceRT at two times for comparison: 12 midnight and 5:30pm when the latency/packet loss really starts to make the game unplayable. It typically ramps up and gets worse as the evening proceeds: with constant 90006 errors. It is so bad I can't even -fish-

    I really need to get feedback here.

    Ports have been opened.
    IE has been cleansed and refreshed.
    ISP reset my connection.

    I am able to play GuildWars2 at the same time the latency is occuring, which leads me to believe the issue is SquareEnix or some external factor beyond both my ISP and Square. But if that is the case, why am I experiencing this when nobody in my FC is, even people in the same location.
