Anyone remember that miqo'te who was possessed by an ancient Allagan archmage, who shows up at the very end of the Crystal Tower questline? I wonder why we didn't ask her for help while we were dealing with this soul transference issue.

I wonder if we're going to continue to just ignore that we could take G'raha on a 50 yalm walk and introduce him to the literal historical figure he named his Crystal Tower Club after.

I've been waiting for that NPC to give the Miqote her body back for years. He still hasn't. Ugh.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
I've been meaning to post about Noah!
Not only that, but the other person whose soul ended up in another body thanks to Allagan-based crystal technology. And knows how to make crystals that can store memories for someone else to view. And probably wrote some of the texts that the Exarch and Beq Lugg were working from when they developed the soul vessels.
We really should have consulted her before now, but seeing as we didn't, I hope they think of her going forward. It would definitely beadorable seeing Raha in fanboy modean interesting conversation if not an outright plot point.
Of course, once again we have the issue that it's an optional sidequest (even now with the rest of CT being required) so they'd have to railroad us into doing the quest or something if they wanted to involve her in the MSQ.
According to the Lorebook, Noah has apparently always been a woman. And apparently Noah and Koh take turns in control of the body, a interesting implication for both us and our new Scion.
Of interest, she spends the nights she is in control of the body partying. When she does give control over to Koh in the morning, the latter is wholly flustered.
She shows up as soon as the Crystal Tower quest chain is complete, with the implication that Koh found Noah's prison prior to the sealing of the Crystal Tower. By the time the quest chain is complete, they would have already completed the 'merger'. If we aren't the ones to have found her first, they could make it so that our new friend did in the MSQ, if we have not completed that quest. She is standing right outside, and given his experience AND given who he is, he might have noticed her presence.
Since we've succeeded in transferring souls to bodies. Koh might be interested in interacting with us, if not to figure out how she can get Noah out of her body. If they've become used to each other, she might want to find a way to get Noah her own body instead of using hers.

I always did and like, i get that she maybe wants just a quiet life of smt, but still... just ignoring her considering the 5.x msq... *sigh* Its a mix between the problem of side quests and not planing ahead when doing such quests...
That's not how the game handles optional quests though - there will never be a version of events where someone else found her first. If they were ever going to build on it, we personally have to first go through the quest where we meet her and learn her importance - essentially stepping back in time to 2.5 as we do so.She shows up as soon as the Crystal Tower quest chain is complete, with the implication that Koh found Noah's prison prior to the sealing of the Crystal Tower. It's the same logic why the Crystal Tower became required for 5.3 - it needs certain events to have happened first so the plot makes sense, and you are the person who needs to make them happen.
(I'm not sure how the timing of Noah possessing Koh is relevant either way - of course it happened prior to us meeting her, even if we did it immediately after the tower was sealed at the end of the main quest line.)

We've had similar instances in how the game handles Alexander and Omega, and the Crystal Tower prior to the patch requiring it - especially how we would respond to Nero depending on if we complete the tower chain or not The timing matters since Crystal Tower is required now, which means technically, SE can include Noah and Koh in the plot as all the requirements for her to appear would have already been fulfilled. Noah is an important figure for Raha and the Crystal Tower, and even if they do not introduce her in 5.XX, as long as we have Raha, there's always a chance she'll appear. That's not how the game handles optional quests though - there will never be a version of events where someone else found her first. At least I hope SE hadn't forgotten about her, she is in their lorebook. Maybe we need a red shirt guy to ask about it.
It's not quite the same situation.
The use of CT/Alexander/Omega in Shadowbringers is a special case because of the time travel plot. If you haven't done them, it can be handwaved as something you did after the current point in time but prior to (in that timeline) the Eighth Calamity, and the script changes accordingly to have the Exarch say that the WoL hasn't met his past self yet. (Note that if you do go and play them later, they're not happening "now" but at their intended point in the story, and any future rewatches of the cutscene will update to match your current quest status.)
That changes in 5.3 because CT is no longer a thing that can happen "later". The plot requires present-day G'raha to be asleep in the tower, therefore you must first do the quest that puts him in there. The game will not assume that it already happened.
Nero could make his (re)appearance in post-HW MSQ with or without completion of CT because his physical state at the start of that story is the same as at the end, so someone who hasn't done it won't notice anything amiss with the sequence of events. Additionally, the game scripts it carefully to allow for the variation. He introduces himself not to you personally but to the entire meeting, where most of the others don't know him. Cid has one line that changes according to whether you've completed CT or not; everything else plays out the same and can make sense either way.
All requirements except actually doing the quest where we first meet her. It's a short quest, but one that I think delivers too much critical information to wave over if you want to involve her in the plot specifically because of we learn about her in that quest.
It could maybe be worked around if Raha can meet her separately now, provide most of the information and reduce our input to a simple "we've met" or "nice to meet you". But it would still be a little wobbly.
It's one of those weird things that will probably always been hand-waved away for the sake of convenience. It was their first method of providing tomestone gear upgrade items through the 24 man raids and attached a vague reason for why the quest was taking place. I feel like there is a good reason why they stopped trying to find lore reasons for weekly lockouts and higher difficulty fights like extreme/savage.
I highly doubt that NPC will ever be used for anything again.
