Unlocking mentor roulette

I am a mentor.

I am a mentor of battle.

I cannot get into mentor roulette.

How do I get into mentor roulette? I do 2 things that haven't been completed yet. Oh, okay. What are those two things?

The first one: ?????
The second one: ?????

(There was a third one at first, but then I finished the Hildebrand quests & got rid of that one.)

Do you even WANT mentors, Squenix? Because this is not a system that favors having them. We should not have to go to third party websites to find a list of every trial, raid, GUILDHEST, or dungeon required to unlock mentor roulette, THEN go back into the game to compare the lists item by item by item to try to find what is missing! Your system is BYZANTINE. For crying out loud, just LIST THE FRICKING REQUIREMENTS.

did you finish everything in the latest patch? Before ShB you had to beat extreme fights too to unlock mentor roulette, that’s not the case now thankfully. But you still have to beat the 24 man raids/eden/dungeons/normal mode trials.

I have finished everything in the latest patch. If we don't have to do ShB extremes, then I am truly stumped. I've done every guildhest, every dungeon, every normal raid, every trial, & every extreme trial pre-Stormbringers. Still 2 things missing. *shrug*

When was the last time you could use mentor roulette? Or was this your first time trying to unlock it? I’m trying to think of hidden trials that are somewhat out there like the hildibrand 70 trial.

This was my first time trying to unlock it. I did get that Hildebrand 70 trial, but still have 2 others missing somewhere.

You have to have ALL previous extremes, trials, guildhests, 24-mans, and dungeons unlocked.

Do you have ALL dungeons unlocked? I would check through the list of dungeons because it sounds like you just haven't unlocked two optional ones: https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Dungeons

Have you done The Great Hunt and The Great Hunt Extreme? And all ARR, HW, and SB extremes?

Perhaps this could help narrow things down:

I have every other roulette unlocked. Therefore, if something is required for any of the other roulettes, I have already done it.

What, then, is NOT required for _any_ other roulette?

I have done The Great Hunt and The Great Hunt Extreme.

You can have a roulette unlocked without having everything in that roulette unlocked. You can have Alliance Raids unlocked having only done the ARR alliance raids, and Raid roulette unlocked having only done a handful of Alexander raids. So honestly, instead of being snappy, I would recommend going through the wiki and looking at the list of dungeons, trials, raids, etc, and comparing them with your DF options, and seeing what's missing. It's literally your only option.

While I do think the mystery behind the mentor roulette is a bit much. You could do the work to figure out what you are missing or at least list the detail where they are so someone else could help you out.
