It depends. If they're making useful comparison, then of course not. If they're making a useless comparison, then I won't bother watching them or commenting on their video. Comparing different games' DLC pricing would be the latter unless they're comparing it as part of the games as a whole.

People compare the DLC of different games to gauge what is 'normal' for pricing and to help judge if they are getting ripped off or not. Nothing wrong with doing that.

The pricing is too high. Take FTP games that charge less for the same type of items while this is a Subscription based game.
But thinking that this game doesnt have Alaplaya levels of greed is ridiculous making all the pay for items character based and not account base.

While I hate GW2 they might sell 5 mount skins for $20 in pack even somre of the more expensive highly detailed one are $30 compared to here where it's 1 for $35.
I get that I do FTP ames needs a way to keep making money so they release more and more at higher prices, it's ridiculous for a Sub game however to price things so high.

That ugly outfit wasn't $80 dollars. The $80 was for a 6 month subscription. The ugly outfit was a bonus for getting the 6 month subscription.

If you just want the ugly outfit and not the subscription, it's $20.

Still more than you would pay here but then transmog in WoW is account wide (class/faction/rep restrictions permitting) while all the mogstation outfits are single character.

Maybe nothing wrong for personal reasons, just useless to change the shop's price. If people think it's overpriced, then they simply won't buy, but if there is enough people who buy, then from the shop's perspective, it's not overpriced.

So again, you can compare whatever you want, but if what you're comparing are not directly competing, then the comparison is only for you whether you want to buy or not, but it won't affect others or the shop's pricing if enough people are buying. And there could be enough people buying because there is no direct competition. The Online Store is the only store people can purchase items for their FFXIV characters. And item sold in other games' stores would be irrelevant to the FFXIV characters that can't use those (perhaps cheaper) items.

Considering what you're claiming is in opposition to reality: The cash shop prices have remained the same for specific types of cosmetics (rehashed events, originals, regionals, mounts, multiseater mounts of differing capacity) since inception, it seems I am not the one opposing what is easily observable.

And what part of if you buy something you are NOT telling the seller the price is okay didn't you understand? Companies work on targets and projections. They aim to sell X amount of something. Companies don't assume customers don't think something is expensive, just because they buy it – especially when that company has a monopoly on the things they sell, like SE.

And I have never ever bought anything at all from the cash shop so the rest of your rant is just baffling, factually wrong, irrelevant and unnecessary. Like pretty much everything else you have ever said on this forum.

I can go and post the same answers here again but then we are literally spamming the same posts. Just go back and read my reply the first 17 times I responded to this. It all still applies.
