Plus people who do any of the following...

Claim no one is allowed to compare anything because no 2 things are identical

Claim no one has ever bought anything that is over-priced because buying something means you didn't think it was over-priced

Claim you can't compare 2 things if the price of one doesn't directly affect the price of the other

...don't get the courtesy they won't afford to others. What's the point of trying to be reasonable to people who have no ability to reason?

In all the years I have posted on message boards I don't think I've ever seen anyone make less sense than you.

You've spent weeks trying to force on to people the notion that no one is allowed to compare 2 things because you can't bear the fact people are criticising the prices of a game you play. People compare things all the time. You sound utterly ridiculous.

It doesn't mean they really think the price is valid and it doesn't mean the market thinks the price is fair and it doesn't mean the company they bought from believes everyone is happy with the price.

There are thousands of examples of people who bought stuff they felt was over-priced, then complained on social media or in letters or emails about the prices and those prices ended up being reduced. This happens all the time with other companies as everyone knows. So the things you're saying are just provably false, in a massive way.

This isn't just basic marketing you're denying but real life incidents that happen all the time. This is why no one can take you seriously.

Uh no, I was the one who offered YOU the money. Not the other way around. At least TRY and read what people write before replying. That's a good example though of how you just don't read what you're replying to which explains why so many of your replies just make no sense.

And that was just an example. However, my real offer (of you leaving the forum if I couldn't find anything) was totally ignored by you – it's still open if you'd care to take it up...

But again, why would anyone waste time with someone who just denies facts on a massive scale he doesn't want to acknowledge and who tells people what they think instead of listening to them? No one is going to treat you seriously or spend any real time talking to you when you behave like that.

"Better value" is entirely subjective. You may consider those great value because you happen to fancy any number of games those DLC are associated with. If someone else doesn't. Your comparison is completely meaningless. Case in point, my BFF isn't really a gamer. She plays FF, Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon. You could tell her Witcher 3 is the most amazing game ever and getting it for $15 is a steal. It'd be a waste of $15 to her because she won't play it. Conversely, I bought her the Ruby Carbuncle for her birthday and she made it her main mount for months.

What it boils down to is enough people have to agree something is overpriced for it to matter. If a company is making enough money for a product to remain profitable. Why would they adjust the price because others think it's too much?

Again you're making no sense and it just shows that you didn't read what I posted.

I didn't say you can't compare. I said any comparison you make is useless. So what if you think it's overpriced compared to some other stores' prices? If there is enough people who buy SE's store items at the given price, then SE would be incentivized to keep the price and adjust for anything they think should be priced even higher.

And again.. If you're buying it, it's not overpriced. The companies will find no reason to reduce pricing on something if people continue to purchase it. You can be unhappy with the price, you can think it's unfair.. but if you're buying it.. you are sending a message that the price is acceptable.

Please show me one. You can keep saying that "everyone knows" but I have yet to hear an example from you that isn't just hearsay.

that you can't seem to find an example of. And I don't think anyone takes anyone seriously on a video game forum. You, however, are taking this whole thing very personally for some reason.

You hypothetically offered ME money to make YOUR point. I am asking you to make your point for free as a response. If you can't follow I will be happy to reiterate.

An offer you will likely claim is fulfilled with some 2 dollar worthless F2P cosmetic. No thanks.
You came back after a week JUST to reply to me. ... seems like you're still talking.

Don't know about what's on the PS Store but a lot of what's on Steam is DLC made by third parties trying to make a quick buck off someone else's IP where licensing agreements allow it, and it's frequently of inferior quality to boot.

Please, go buy those games and that DLC if you think it's a better value.

Nothing you say is going to change the prices being charged here.

    Apples and Oranges.
SE doesn't have to care about what-if-would-be customers. For clubs, they know if they sell enough drinks to keep the lights on, and that they have to move stock or it'll spoil, so there's pressure to sell and drop prices.

For SE, once they've recouped the cost to make the mount, everything else is gravy. There is literally an unlimited supply. They don't care about who can't afford it. They care that the 100 or so they sold paid for the man hours to make the thing and pure profit that can be made after.

Why are you so sour with a company making profit? Its business.

I find it even a little insulting that you believe "they make money out of thin air" when in fact, various artists and what not create that content.

I mean that’s kind of the goal of business. As much additional profit as possible for as little additional work/cost as possible. I mean, that’s why farming is done on such a huge scale, or why we have books on demand now. The whole “work smarter not harder”, right? And if you can make a product once and never need to spend additional time or money on it...and it continues to make you cash, you are “doing it right”.
