Online store prices are outrageously high!

$36 for a mount, $18 for a dress, $10 for barding..

They're already charging a monthly fee for this game on top of base price for the game and sales happen only slightly less often than planetary alignments.

Give us a break, Squeenix. Lower your prices to something reasonable.

Why not complain about retainers, you know, the only thing in that store that grants a certain level of necessity and/or advantage in the game.

I'd be okay with it if they didn't leave certain systems to rot as if to increasingly force that added expense. When you purposely let problems accumulate to generate more money... that's an issue.

For all else, my experience doesn't depend on them. At worst, some are eyesores, but at least they're maybe funding something I'll maybe care about in game.

Square Enix could make all items "account-wide" by default, even those already purchased, on top of that they could slash prices each year that passes, I'm sure they would sell more if they weren't so greedy.

OPTIONAL items. exactly. You dont NEED them to play, you dont NEED them to beat any of the bosses. in fact, you only buy them if you want something to show off. Written any letters to Louis Vitton lately? or maybe Aston Martin complaining about the prices of their OPTIONAL items?

Here's a tip for a happier life, if you dont need it.. save your money and.... DONT BUY IT.

I heard the sub fee goes right into squares coffers and the online store is what supports FFXIV. I don't mind it, if I want something I'm happy to save up and support the game.

Pretty sure the interview said the reverse. Mogstation items dont actually help the game, only subs do.

I actually think this IS the reason they overcharge.
The sales prices are closer to what they intend to sell the items for, but just in case ppl are desperate for the items early, they increased the price of the item. (When not on sale)

nope this is wrong. subscription fees go into general revenue coffers and mogstation is back straight into XIV.
