    Personally hope they at LEAST do DPS + non DPS each expansion.
    And if thats too much, then alternate with 1 DPS every other expansion, and a nonDPS for the expansions in between.

    Ever since BRD was given its own LB in HW, to be a role different from other ranged DPS, such as casters, its only fair to separate jobs based on 3 criteria. "Melee vs Ranged" + "Magical vs Physical" + "DPS vs Tank vs Healer".

    We just got a tank and a ranged, and we already have four melee DPS. Add a new healer, make BLU a full job, call it a day.

    The simple solution is to just make a healer who actually IS what people want to play lol. Most ppl I know who dont want to play healers in MMOs, want to be in armor, have a big weapon, and melee. But the moment its a Paladin, they have 0 problems healing the group. (Outside of some sort of healer anxiety) An example is in offline RPGs. Every single person who plays an RPG offline, plays a healer. They may not considered their clothed healer the main character, but they sure as heck will put them on the team and play them. So in context of a "battle healer", as long as it "feels" like a typical main character hero, and can still dish out some damage (like current healers) they wont see "healing" as something "unfun". (This excludes changes to healer DPS. Just talking about concepts)

    In short SE, stop making all healers robed casters with wand equivalent for weapons... and im sure you'll attract FAR more people to the healer role. (Yes im aware the game is built from the ground up with the idea healers wear cloth (literally has the word "healer" in the gear name) and go pew pew from a distance, while having cast bars on all meaningful actions. But thats SEs fault. It really was EXTREMELY shortsighted not to see something as basic as this.)

    I didn't say they shouldn't add a new healer, I was just saying if they don't add one it won't bother me cause I favor tanking and DPS.

    Think of it like someone who doesn't care if they add anymore triple triad cards, a person that doesn't care about triple triad wouldn't be bothered by it even if they can see that it'd be good to add more cards for the deck, they don't heavily favor triple triad like I don't heavily favor healing though I can still see the need for a new healer and think they should add one however I wouldn't be bothered if they didn't cause I favor tanking and DPS.

    I would. It's sad and pathetic tbh if SE still after 6 years cannot balance out healers and refuse to make a new healer because DPS is what sells.

    And honestly even if the balancing situation is complete trash, a new healer is very much overdued. They can't get away without a new one in 6.0. There will be a huge shortage.

    And if people are actually banking on them making them fun to forget about the lack of a new job, then they clearly haven't seen SE's track record with healers.

    I do believe that a new healer is coming and no its not entitled to want a new tank either because personally both groups deserve better.

    It will likely be healer and caster dps. I think they will stop at 4 tanks, 4 healers.

    (1) The problem with Medic wasnt its armor lol. (In the case of FF14, its easy to just glamor on some armor in this game. A WHM in armor, is still just a stationary pew pew wizard)
    (2) Healers played drastically differently in wildstar, vs the DPS oriented playstyle of 14. Theres no reason to make a playstyle feel "Miserable". Or at least, if you MUST have that playstyle, at least offer a class within the role that does NOT feel miserable. (Look at the DPS options we have, and how some are pretty janky, but some ppl love them. Then we have others that are as smooth as butter, and people prefer those jobs, solely because they wanted a less annoying job to play)

    But thats falling in line with the issue of just not making healing more enjoyable, and sticking to "mostly" a single playstyle for healing. (All the while making multiple playstyles for dealing damage, and occasionally some MMOs change playstyles of tanks too. But for the few MMOs that change up the "healer playstyle", its done far less often, and usually involves the resources of the healer, rather than anything else.(Using DPS as a comparison, where entire functions are different))
