Thread: I'd like another tank in 6.0

I hope we get 2 jobs, one being a chemist healer or some kind of life sucking healer that heals through doing damage to the boss and it sucks life away from boss while giving it to the healer/other party members.

I'd like beastmaster as a pet tank or some kind of telepath/ teleknetic tank ( think Jean Grey or Professor Xavier from The X-Men)

I know we probably won't get a new tank cause we got GNB in SHB but I really enjoyed the way tanking was done in SHB and I'd love another tank to play, I enjoyed all 4 tanks and PLD is my fav job in SHB.

I know BLU isn't really on the same level as the others, but we technically have four already. If anything, we might be due for something in the same vein as Bard. Or Dragoon or Ninja if SE wants their gear to overlap with something else.

As far as I am concerned BLU is an All Rounder job. Taking notes from Graha's role designation(All Rounder).

It can function in any role and do fine at it.

I can understand caster given there are 3 casters (limited job not included) and 4 melees, but if they're not going to release any job that uses scouting or maiming, they should at least add another striking job before casting even if it will add to the melee count.

Thanks to the ending dialog of 5.3 MSQ I think the twins are going to be the faces of the two new classes. Alphinaud going with the healer, and something in me thinks Alisaie will go dexterity melee, something like a Ninja, but different, she's too aggressive to be a stand back and cast, Red Mage works with her, but I see her going full-time melee. The only problem being I don't see her going thief, which is the only Final Fantasy job that would fit the role.

A pet class for tank would be very interesting! But I don't think 6.0 would be the right time to introduce it. Of course, a new healing class takes priority (hopefully). I know I'm far from the first to say it, but I'd love for a geomancer as it already has precedent in the lore.

As for another class, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Magic DPS, to be (finally) equal to Physical DPS (not including BLU) in terms of variety. A Sorcerer/Mystic would be a cool DPS to add. Or a Time Mage even??? hmm??? But I think a Time Mage could also be reflavored as a healer pretty easily if they wanted to, but that might step on Astro a bit.

There was a guess, and I like the idea, of a Chemist Healer and GEO magic DPS, since Geomancer as a whole (to the best of my knowledge) has always been a magic based damage dealer.
