as a fantasia addict , i've changed so many times since the release of shadowbringers to me mainly because of the lack of headgear ( i love mages hats ) but currently really loving my viera and if i did change it will be just some tweaking and maybe a face change ( tempted to go face 4) - or go roe/elezen .
also will 100% switch permanently to fem hrothgar if they get released - idc even if they were more limited than the current two races i'll switch .

I didn't switch but I created a Viera, that I still can't play cause I think they are the silliest race FF has put into their franchise.

I made a Viera alt, but didn't really play her because I'm not a big fan of them (unrelated to the head customization).

Oof. Where to start. I played the beta of 1.0 and started with miqote of course and then i left. After which on behest of my Japanese friends, invited me to play the 2nd or 3rd beta of 2.0 where you can only level to 15. Played miqote till 2.2.
Changed to elezen till heavensward changed to au ra which only lasted 2 months which i changed back to elezen for a solid 2 years.
Then stormblood hit and i changed to hyur midlander for 2 years and when shadowbringers came i changed to viera and remained till 5.2 where i couldn't take the limitations anymore so i went tighlander instead.

Started as a Midlander when I first picked up the game during HW, and pretty much stayed consistent until Hrothgar came out. While I had originally been hoping for Lupin (they made the one in SB Hildy rather well animated!), I was very happy when Hrothgar was announced and pretty much pounced on it the moment the benchmark came out. Spent forever finding the design that fit me, but I am currently very content. And while I would not object to more customization tweaks for the race, I'm personally not too miffed on the headgear - I tend to hide more of the bulky helms/hoods etc anyway, so glasses or the few other pieces of decorative headgear like the Beech Mask of Casting (for my SMN) or the Sky Pirate little braid thing (for my DNC) are sufficient enough for me.

Race changed into a Hrothgar. Lack of headpieces was a bummer, but the expressions + emotes on the Hrothgar was nice enough that I didn't mind it in the long run so I stayed. That and a lot of outfits look nice on them due to their model.

No. I like my Au Ra. If there were small Viera girls (as small as female Au Ra, or even like Alphinaud) I would have considered to change to one between MSQ patches. But I only want to play a small (but not Lalafell-like small) character as my main.

I did begin as Miqo'te though, as Au Ra didn't exist back then. I didn't change to Au Ra immediately, I waited a few months, but never changed to anything else again. Only between Raen and Xaela a few times. I've been Xaela for years now though and don't think I'm ever changing my character again.

Since SHB came out I been switching back n forth between lala( master race) and hrothgar.

For now I'm stay hrothgar cause I'm burnt out on playing the master race, however I kept changing back from hrothgar cause the not to many headpieces situation and the fact u have to Fantasia if u wanna change hairstyles.

Hopefully when 6.0 launches alot more, if not all, headpieces will work on hrothgar and viera.

I was originally a miqo but once I saw an Au Ra dancing in limsa, I wanted to try one. So, I switch into an Au Ra and love it and now it's Au Ra for life....( altho,I really didn't like the miqo that much. Their running, jumping and idle animation seems to be less attractive than an Au Ra)

While, shb tempted me to play as a viera, I tried twice and wasn't happy with how they felt compared to my Au Ra. So, I made a decision, to try Viera for straight 3 months ( trying to forget, how Au Ra felt with me), with that I did enjoy viera ( the veena race of viera) for a solid three months until temptation drove me to switch back to Au Ra again, recently.

With that I can tell, Viera are still INCOMPLETE compared to other races and especially Au Ra (to me the Au Ra are like the bloodelfs in Wow).

To me these are the issues for a viera, Their animations seems off like running or their.... something, I can't describe it like certain animations resemble that of an elezen or not. The lack of hairstyles and the head gear as well as, they require heels to fully appreciate their legs like their race gear. Lastly, their butts are too flat.....I had to make her wear 2B leggings to feel the attraction of a viera

SE, please for the love of this game. Increase the viera butt size, a collection of hairstyles and all head gear be displayed as well. So, that more people can invest their time on being a viera and feel complete like give them the uniqueness they require for example when I was playing ffxii fran, I felt a sense of unquiness or fuildity in controlling that character like I felt with the the races in FFXIV but viera does not match the equation.

They need a seperate design for head and leg gear. Also, they must not resemble too much as an elezen way of idle animation.

Since I started (just before Stormblood) I've changed a bunch of times.
Played catgirl throuh ARR, then switched to huyr for HW and StB, then a bunny for most of ShB, then a lala for a couple months, now back to a bunny.

Right now I don't really have the itch to switch again, though I'm sure I will eventually since it's now clear SE has no intention of ever fixing the bunny/hat problem or giving them more hairstyles, even having introduced new hairstyles to the game since 5.0.
