How to prevent turning off buffs with right-click?

Hi, sorry for noob question:

Is it possible to not turn off buffs by right-clicking?

I spent a lot of company seals on a gathering exp buff and was busy mining when I accidentally turned it off with 15 hours left on it. Now I'm just really sad that I wasted it like that

Any advice or do I just have to move my status buffs (other) to a more out-of-the-way location?

The best way to prevent that (well, actually the only way) is just to move your buff bar to somewhere you won't click them off accidentally. I have mine at the bottom of the screen, to the right of the hotbar. In that location it's quick to glance between the buff/debuff list and the hotbar too, which is always an advantage.
