Having to go to an inn room to change glamour plates is annoying.
Having to go to an inn room to change glamour plates is annoying.
The existence of Main Quest Roulette.
Heres my opinion on this subject
1)Alot jobs has gone through too much of oversimplification.i wont list all of them but the biggest offenders are mainly healers and tanks , with the former losing the absolute minimum of what could be considered a dps rotation, And the later losing a whole system that interacted with other jobs the aggro system. Tanks have also be given alot of abilities that fit not a similiar role but the exact same role, for example plds and gnb aoe dot, Drk getting War inner release. Ill also include as minor offenders, War and gnb sharing the same 15% cooldown and Drk sharing the same aoe mitigation with gnb. With the exception of Gnb who was tailored to fit this expansion ,
pld lost the least having the least interaction with stances ,
Drk has been the second most affected , losing alot of spells and situational pros each stance gave mitigated alot by being reworked,
War has been affected the worst but is somewhat remedied by the fact that the new lvl caps was used to reintroduce some of the strength he lost. For example the extra healing of tankstance was given to thrill , inner beast has been given in the form of raw intuition rework , and his heal given via nascent flash.
.
The healers Simplification has been mostly allocated to the dps abilities but do to the abudant choices for healing healers have this has reduced them to be in a state of Whm but with
.
2)Tieing to the first comment This simplification has done nothing to help the myriads of new players shadowbringers introduced ,something worsened by the option to simply skip everything. There is still not a decent tutorial to help players out and eu specificly the auto translate function is too bad to do the job is supposed to do. This in coordination with the fact that when people gather fights are inevitable , as well as the discouragement of putting in helpfull tools that would be able to help people improve (ironically to avoid the second thing) has made it so that most people can play for hours on end and never actually improve. Adding to that the strict tos has made every arguement that this situation can induce be solvable only by leaving, reporting or avoiding it all together. This does not promote a healthy atmosphere, and can be easily abused.
.
3)More info about job direction. In here i will list the biggest offender summoner, This job has been reworked since i started playing in late HW 4 times however the 5.0 was the most questionable set of changes ive seen. It changed the job systems in a way that ended up in the complete antithesis of the old system. from fluid to rigid this made the few words they have said about why they did them contradictory. Even though 5.1 and 4.1 changes were easily understandable the 5.0 weren't. So ye pls talk to us more often Devs TT.

4) The game needs an upgrade. Ill go to the extreme and say that with all those problems happening and the fact that currently with 5700xt and 3600x ryzen series i can go down to 50 fps from 144 in limsa while in a game like doom eternal i can reach 2000 , id w8 5 years just so that this game could be remade or change engines or get whatever it needs. Hopefully we will see an upgrade with ps5 version.
Thats all i can think on the top of my head.
i didnt say i want button bloat, i said that not every job needs to only have 20-16 buttons
Smn has 27 buttons only 2 of them are bloats, physick and energy siphon, and only energy siphon is an actual bloat physick is just nonviable
if added all the ones that share buttons it has 5 more.
You can actually have a class design with alot of buttons and not be button bloats, and its actually a point of appeal for some.
NA servers being in hell, I meant west coast.
The fact we still have limited job system in the game and really it doesn't provide anything but a restricted framework. While blue mage in of itself has content that only lasted for 1-2 weeks worth of fun before obtaining every achievement (Morbol Mount, Perfect Stage 25 and 30 Included), every spell and finishing every masked carnival stage and then can't even use it to run current dungeon content for fun. Yeah... it can get pretty boring...
Job Class identity.
Adding these features in would be the exact same as just doubling or tripling the current stats, and we're already due for a stat crunch.Personally, I find gear to be extraordinarily boring. Not only do we have no really interesting pieces (in terms of effects) but substats are so minimal in effect that it's hard to get excited for any new drops. Heck, even the names are boring: [Raid tier] [item slot] of [stat type]. Every item past the first tier, when the iLvl jump is actually somewhat noticeable, is always treated with a "Oh, that's neat."
That being said, I understand why gear is this boring, and I don't expect it to change. I'm not asking for the absolute mess that BFA's gearing system had, but maybe just a little diversity in items wouldn't kill the game. A proc, new stats, some passive non-generic bonus, set bonuses... the game has the functionality to handle these, but I think they're too afraid to confuse new players to add these in.
On the developer end, yes, they could easily do it, but it's unrealistic to expect it, and it doesn't gain us anything. "Wear this maiming boot and DRG Jump gains 10% more damage" will still just be parsed against its base and substats and where two foot gear have the same bonus, you'll pick the one with crit. It's not adding the sort of dimensionality you think it is, and is making the number crunching more complicated for the server as the damage numbers bigger.
On the player end, nobody should want the shit-pie that was BFA's system, as, if you had gear with unique Job-facing traits like "start Blood of the Dragon with one eye already open" or "Jumps do 10%" damage, every single gear upgrade would have to have better or equal stats—or they'd be disappointing trash.
only issue is lack of resources aimed at the bot issue, rmt, harvesting, crafting and market board.
aside from that, rather happy with the game in general. I have played a lot of mmo's and really, rather pleased I found this one.
